The Smoke Pit - Northampton

Visited on a Monday evening for the all you can eat Ribs and Wings, food was great aswell as the atmosphere. Will certainly be visiting again soon!

Very good quality food, very well presented and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Service was good and the price was expensive but fair. I've been to Reds, a place famed for its BBQ, many times and I think The Smoke Pit beats it in all respects. 10/10 will come again.

Food was excellent would reccomend the cow pig chicken burger platter. Decent beers on draught - would reconnect the APH Service was excellent would go again

Food was great and there was lots of it. They say on the menu that it can take 45 minutes to arrive at busy times.

Great restaurant, excellent food, friendly staff. The portions are MASSIVE, but everything tasted great. Especially my peanut butter milkshake! Gutted that we couldn't fit a pudding in...

Make sure you take your appetite with you as the portions are huge. I ate less than half and brought the rest home. Some may say a little pricey but the portions make up for the price. Lots of spice around so this wasn't a place for my hubby who ended up having the least spiced chicken burger which he thoroughly enjoyed, but I think it will be just me and my son on the next visit. We went quite early - 1730 - so it was really quiet but this gave us a chance to look at the lovely art work on the walls. Highly recommended.

Great meat, well cooked and big variety.Nice atmosphere, polite staff and quick service, relaxing music, normal prices.We will definitely go back again and again, it is worth it

Excellent food as always. Never disappointed. Good all round choices for the dedicated carnivores, but also a selection for vegetarians. If you get through the main course, well the desserts are yummy 😋

Fantastic food that will leave you wanting to go again and again, was a little slow service between starters and mains but they were busy so perfectly understandable. First class!

Great food and beer selection. One small disappointment was when we asked if the nachos starter could have a different topping rather than chilli as my wife is vegetarian (I know not the obvious place to go if you don't eat meat!) we were told no but we could have it without the chilli but at the same price. This seemed a bit inflexible but other than that everything else was very good.

Good food, good portions with a varied menu of unusual dishes. Very polite staff. A different eating experience to the normal. Good relaxed atmosphere with no pressure.

Great meal, atmosphere and a top night out with my family. Probably the best steak we've ever had outside of Florence. Can't wait to return. Our favourite restaurant in Northampton

They serve very large portions of good food, the customer service was ok but was quite slow considering there were only a few other tables occupied

Was sat immediately. Food lovely even had enough to take away for the nxt day staff very friendly and helpfull. Coke very expensive but a nice selection

Best Smoke House in Northants. Imitations have dotted up around the county but all are poor compared to this place. Lovely Ox Cheek and Wings

My team had a very enjoyable christmas lunch here, and would recoomend this for anybody else wishing to enjoy the same. Would definitely come again.

Fantastic restaurant, such lovely staff and food is absolutely gorgeous, a tiny bit over priced but wonderful night out there, would definitely recommend, I'd give it a 9/10

We'd booked for 8:30 but had to wait a further 10 mins downstairs. We were given menus while we waited. When we were finally seated we waited a further 15 mins to order even though we'd all decided what to order downstairs earlier. We ordered 4 platters to share between 8 of us as most of the group hadn't been before and so everyone got to try everything. The food arrived quickly and was as always delicious. Some of the group were initially concerned about the prices, but after eating were happy to pay and we all agreed we had a good night and would definitely eat there again.

Yet another tasty meal at the smoke pit. Delicious food from start to finish and great service. They never disappoint. I have a good time every time.

We had the festive menu and everything was cooked beautifully . Even though it was busy the food was hot and served in a timely manner . The bar was slightly behind but we didn’t mind

Perfectly cooked great food. Lots of excellent options to choose from. Kids loved the unlimited drinks and different flavours in the drinks machine. Will go back again.

Unfortunately my husband got food poisoning after visiting which is a shame as we love the restaurant and our daughters enjoyed it and wanted to return

Tasty food, well presented, attentive staff, only quibble is the food was bareky warm I’ve been before and had a good experience so will go back, maybe an off day, as it was rather busy

Very poor. We were sat between to very loud couples. When we asked to move they said that we couldn't because they were expecting it to be busy. There were only four tables in use when we asked. We took the option to leave sadly not even tasting the food. We will not be going back

Great Food Great Service and my girlfriends a foodie so if you satisfy here you must be doing something right would definitely Recommend trying this Epic Restaurant

The food as usual was very good, we had a sharing starter which was delicious but we waited over half an hour for it then another half an hour for our mains, can't knock the food but the serving times could be improved.

great food just really cold, didnt like that we had to wear our coats whilst eating. we will be coming back in the new year.

Food lovely, ambience good, you didn't feel rushed although it was very busy. Sloe lemonade was lovely and the BBQ pulled brisket is simply to die for

What a fab little place for Northampton! This is a definite gem, and we will be gong back! The atmosphere, decor, staff and food just FANTASTIC!

Not as good as I remebered it which is a shame. Too much sause on the meats and which made it very sickily. Will try again tho.

Excellent food, decent sized portions, good service, reasonably priced. Quite lively/noisy atmosphere so not for you if you want peace and quiet while you dine. If you're not bothered about that then I'd highly recommend it. It's all about meat so not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
