Having read after booking other reviews we did wonder what we had let ourselves in for, but how wrong they were. The food was delicious (3 roast porks and 1 mushroom risotto) and the service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be making a return visit.
good service and food marred only by a noisy table next to us
very disappointed our starters were ok but my friend had the brochette of lamb the meat was so overcooked she could hardly eat it. I had a lamb pie with a dollop of mashed potato the pie had the most peculiar taste so let most of it \I don't think the mashed potato was freshly cooked I think it was the stuff you can buy in supermarkets. It was not particularly cheap and most certainly would not return.

People who ordered after us were served mains before us, after 40 minute wait . We would have liked a pudding but after 20 minutes waiting with empty plates in front of us we asked for the bill. The pub was not particularly busy so I am not sure what the problem was.

Friendly welcome, good service, pleasant and bright room, tasty and good value food. The chicken and tarragon pie was good although a little dry inside.
