Lovely food charming and polite staff. Will definitely go again

Overall a very pleasant experience, beautiful décor and good atmosphere.

Lovely food but was slow coming out. Table booked for 6:45 but main course didn’t arrive until 8:00.

Our visit for Sunday roast far exceeded expectations. The initial welcome was friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully fresh and hot. The best roasties ever. Service excellent. A lovely place to eat.

Left phone behind. Phoned it - staff answered and had picked it up and kept it safely for us behind the bar. Very pleasant waiting staff.

Very impressive friendly fast service food was excellent best steak and steak pie we have had for ages. Couldn’t finish it all large portions.

A last-minute booking for my birthday and this visit to the Stables turned into a really lovely treat. The service was exceptional; our duck breast was cooked to perfection and the berry strudel was exquisite...just didn't want the evening to end! Thank you to all at the Stables...we'll definitely be back :)

Bit of a shortage of restaurants in the Exeter area, booked at the Stables and was very surprised, great welcome from front of house and attentive service throughout our meal for 4, well done to the team

Noise was only because some of the tables are very close together

Great service. Lovely setting and atmosphere. I had the roast lamb which was absolutely delicious, one of the best roasts I've had. Cant wait to go back

We enjoyed our meal, although steak was sent back as it wasn't cooked to instructions. Tables are also too close together.

Really good menu for vegans, veggies and meat eaters alike. The specials were all tempting. Food was delicious. Service was great too. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Good parking.

Staff work extremely hard as the restaurant was very busy. Food very good. We like having a smaller portion. The only other point we would make was that the desserts sold out quickly.
