The only downside was some fat male person on the next table, who thought he had the absolute right to slag off neighbouring towns, but that's no fault of the restaurant where we had fantastic food and service

Beautiful setting, friendly and helpful staff, tasty food. We’re not usually in the area and booked following a few recommendations from friends. Did not disappoint after a long and lovely day out. Definitely recommend.

Food was good service was great however there was a dog in there that barked throughout our meal and was quite unpleasant. We had to mention to one of the staff members who decided to ask the owner to put it outside. Really spoiled what should have been a lovely Christmas lunch

Chose this pub as a mid way location between the New Forest and Highgate to meet a friend. Really helpful and friendly staff, plus the food was excellent. I had the soft duck egg scotch egg starter and calves liver for main and both were excellent! Will be back!
