First time going here so wasn't sure what to expect. It was lovely. The staff were extremely attentive and the food was amazing. Will definitely recommend to others and go again.

Good food at very reasonable prices. Looked like they had some interesting ales, we didn't have time to sample them all. Fair choice of red wine. Deducted a point for lavatorial smell.

Beautiful food at good prices, best to book though only a small pub. Can't wait to revisit for the forth time. Definitely recommend the frenchmans burger if you like mushrooms and Brie.

There was a wide range of real ales And the quality was good. The food was well presented and tasty but the chips supplied were badly cooked and soggy. Chips need to be crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

Very lovely meal and prompt service, only possible issue is chips could be crispier but everyone has different tastes. Staff were great, friendly and welcoming.

The service was very friendly and helpful. I had the Mixed Grill with the Banoffee Ice Cream Pie and they were both delicious. Great atmosphere, would overall recommend.

Great atmosphere and excellent food. A little gem of a place tucked away in the city centre. Great for music with live bands performing. Looking forward to going again

Greasy chips, greasy fish. Pot of mushy peas was like green soup with a few mushed peas in the bottom. Very disappointing. Friend had sausages and mash and it arrived as an island in the middle of a large bowl of brown water. Had to ask for a spoon. Again very disappointing

As always, fantastic service and high-quality food but it was a shame that so many of the dishes had run out by the time we arrived. However, I'd very much recommend this pub!

Perfect just what we needed after a busy cultural visit, the food was gorgeous the service fantastic. Could bang on forever but an establishment that makes a group of people feel happy as they spend is a real find we can't wait to go back.

I've never had a bad meal at The Three Mariners, and this time was no exception. As ever, the food was good and reasonably priced, and the staff friendly and efficient. There were eleven people in our party and all of them expressed both their enjoyment of the food and satisfaction of the service. The pub itself is said to be the 2nd or 3rd oldest in England, and apart from a solitary games machine, is thankfully free of noisy modern annoyances like pool tables or enormous TV screens. At the bar, a selection of the more popular lagers are on offer (bottled as well as draft), plus a good range of bitter and cider. They also feature a 'guest-ales' board on a regular basis, from which you may choose some of the more exotic real-ales from around the country. If you like your pubs to have a traditional look, a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, and a good mix of age-groups, then The Three Mariners won't disappoint. It even has a ghost (or three), though I can't claim to have had the ... er ... 'pleasure' of meeting any of those in person.

Excellent food and service enjoyed by all 4 of us. We had a variety of dishes all well cooked and the sticky toffee pudding for the sweet toothed among us ( plus 3 spoons ) was delicious
