Sunday lunch for 4, huge portions and all served on hot plates. Delicious food, great service, great wine at a reasonable price, the only negative aspect being where we were seated. Never been disappointed with the Vernon.

Staff was professional, courteous and with good sense of humour. Food was just ok.

Although we had looked at the website and were expecting a lunchtime set menu, as this is no longer available we chose from the standard menu and there was very little difference in price. Four of us ate different meals at reasonable prices. They were beautifully presented and delicious. The pub is smart and welcoming, toilets immaculately clean and service brilliant. Wish it was my local!

Lovely welcome from the bar and waiting staff, Landlord makes a point of being present and speaks to all diners. Food was great. And the price very reasonable! We will certainly go back again.

A really lovely place to stay, food excellent, staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast delicious. Lovely view from bedroom window.

Cannot fault the restaurant. Was given the lunch time menu but asked, and received, another menu with larger choice. We were still served quickly and the food was amazing. On my list of favourite restaurants!

Lovely visit on a summers day, we used the garden for drinks, but weren't pushed to get to our dinner table. Really great service.

Lovely lunch time experience from welcome to departure Cuisine excellent , prompt service and charming waitresses . Easy access and parking - have already booked for an evening meal next weekend !

We live very close to the Vernon Arms . So we visit it frequently. The food and service is always of a good standard.

A very nice Sunday lunch with HUGE Yorkshire puddings and a good variety of veg. A tad overcooked for my taste but good neverthless.

We often meet friends here for lunch as it is situated midway between us. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Food is well cooked and nicely presented but not all menu was available yesterday.
