Beautiful food as always. Good ambience. Good speed of service & polite also. I Always call for a meal when visiting York with the family.

A really friendly and amazing food experience in this city center restaurant. A chance to taste a different type of food with delicate spices and well cooked dishes, Good for veges as well. Be sure to book as can get very busy at weekends

Food was the best Nepalese I've tasted and served by very helpful, smiley staff. Would definitely recommend to friends and cannot wait to go back again.

Our first experience of Nepalese cuisine & will not be our last. We were a little unsure on menu options but the incredibly helpful & knowledgeable staff made it a memorable evening with good food & great service. Will definitely be going back.

Great food, attentive service and lovely people. It was our first visit and we felt right at home. Will be encouraging all our friends to visit. We went mid week and it was busy, might be a good ideas to make a reservation.

1st time here and what a fantastic experience, the staff were very helpful and talked us through the menu. We had battered King prawns & chilli chips for starters, the chips were really good. Main meals of Annapurna Chicken & Everest Lamb with rice & papadum & chutney. All absolutely delicious.

Really nice chilled out restaurant. The food was amazing, didn't know what to expect but will be going back to try the rest of the menu!

We really enjoyed our evening at the Yak & Yeti. Good value. Tasty food- I thought the steamed momo were excellent and the service was pleasant.

food was really really nice but the service was a little on the slow side but to be fair it was busy ! also a bit noisy but also not the restaurants fault ! will be going back again to try some more delicious nepalese food ! good food for a good fair price !

This restaurant is incredible and very vegan friendly. It was like being back in Nepal. Absolutely go. The staff are wonderful too. I live in Middlesbrough but I'll be coming back regularly just to visit here

Amazingly delicious food, full of flavour. Customer service was excellent and would recommend the Yak & Yeti beef, which you can have mild or hot & spicy.

great service, not in your face, the food was good & original, noisy otherwise would have give it a 6 but it was busy & everyone looked to be enjoying themselves.

Beautiful food, lovely staff. The food was tasty, hot and plentiful and very reasonably priced - two main and drinks for £25 The staff were friendly and efficient. Re-visit a definite.

Been twice and the latter time took my parents to show them the wonders of York, needless to say they were very impressed. Beautiful flavours and deceivingly filling.

We had a lovely time. The service was quick, polite and unobtrusive. The food was excellent. The meat tender, good quality and well cooked. The food was flavoursome and spicy. Excellent ice cream and very alcoholic liqueur coffee! The ventilation is very good, so the food smells never become overwhelming even when the restaurant is very busy, as it was on the evening we were there - you leave with your clothes smelling fresh despite the lovely, aromatic food.I would recommend this restaurant

The food is good, reasonably priced and very popular place because it's so popular they put a time limit on how long we had to order & eat our meal, and we booked in advance. Felt like we were just cattle get in feed and get out.

Delicious food. A fairly small menu but plenty of choice. Good sized portions. Good attentive service without being overbearing . Excellent value for money. Would go back again.

love this restaurant - menu has changed slightly and my yak and yeti chicken wasn't as good as it usually is - however I would still recommend - lovely manager - great staff and super food.

First visited a year ago with a group of 7 and was so good everyone wanted to do a repeat visit after completing the Vale Velo. Food was excellent again.

We ordered a selection of starters and sides to share, which worked very well. The food was delicious, and the wait staff were very friendly.

We are regular visitors to York and have tried a lot of the restaurants in the city, we thought we would give the Yak and Yeti a try having never tried Nepalese food before. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the service was friendly and efficient We would definitely return for a second visit when visiting York again.

Excellent food with very attentive staff. It is a lovely family run restaurant that is only let down by its poor desert offerings. I would return regardless.

Ambiance - small, a bit crowded, noisier than I would like - conversation was difficult without shouting. Staff - friendly, welcoming and extremely efficient. Food - absolutely delicious and I appreciated that we asked how spicy we would like it to be. General - although the place was so busy they turning people away, we were not rushed or made to feel uncomfortable. Value for money - yes - definitely. Would visit again.

Great food. Friendly service. Gurkha Beer excellent !! Fully recommend the spicy lamb momo as a starter. The Everest Lamb as a main along with the veg fried rice was top notch. Definately go back on my next trip to York.

Fantastic food amazing atmosphere would highly recomend it. Food isn't to spicy but very flavoursome with a great use of herbs and spices. A must try place.

Had a great evening at Yak and Yeti. Excellent service as always and good quality, tasty good. We took friends who had never been before and they really enjoyed it too!
