Lovely restaurant and food. Portions small so maybe should have ordered another dish, but will know next time. Good job we booked, otherwise would have had to wait to be seated. Service was good, will return.

AMAZING food. It was a quiet Wednesday night but staff very attentive, food quickly served, great choice of food and drink. Not rushed and great value for money.

Booked this restaurant as we were staying in York for the weekend. Glad we did, as when we got there it was completely full. Food was delicious, we had the set meals, one meat and one vegetarian. It came out on the plate with all the dishes in small bowls and a dome of rice, a popadom and chutney. All really tasty. We will definitely return when we are in York next.

Great atmosphere, staff very friendly and the food is to die for ! You won't be disappointed if you visit here. Best to book though.

Never eaten Nepalese food before and the menu here helpfully explains and illustrates the variety of dishes. Service was prompt and we chose Ghurka beer, salad and starter, pork Ghurkali and chicken Annapurna with fried rice. Loved it all and good value.

Beautiful, warm and friendly staff, great food loved the Momo very nice, jyst what we needed on a snowy evening. Well worth a visit , we will deffinately be back.

Food very very nice, a very busy restaurant for a Thursday night. As a group of three we sat on a table for two, very tight for space and kept getting knocked into by people squeezing past :( Was also very noisy, had to raise voices to talk between the three of us at a table for two !!!! People serving were excellent and spent time to talk. Would I go again ......... yes, with a group of at least six.

Poor service. Never offered a desert and brought us the bill without asking and took our drinks. Felt like we where pushed out as people were waiting to be seated. We booked out table beforehand and were only there an hr. The table was booked for 6. I emailed them direct to complain and they said we arrived half 5. We never as we only set off from the hotel then. They also said they politely asked us to move table to make way for a larger group. They never. Bad time management skills.

Great tasty food, initially looks like small portions but so filling! The service was lovely and the meal was reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend a visit and we will be returning soon.

Wonderful authentic Nepali food, served by attentive staff. We loved the whole experience- food, decor, atmosphere. . We will definitely go again when in York.

The food was excellent, but there were too many tables for the one server so service was a bit slow. I would go back again.

Great hospitality and fab food. Felt like we were allowed to own the table for the whole night. Stayed on for drinks and never felt we were being hassled out the door.

I thought the food was very tasty. The restaurant was busy with a good vibrant atmosphere and the service was good overall. Will probably return to this restaurant in the future.

Gorgeous food and reasonably priced. Great blend of spice and flavour. Never eaten a salmon curry before but it was a really tasty dish - highly recommended. This was our 1st visit but we’ll definitely be back

Delicious food - spicy but totally different flavours to Indian food. Staff were very friendly and helpful with dietary requirements (gluten free in our case)

It is nice occasionally to find something different from the usual Chinese and Indian menus. The Y&Y isn't the easiest to book into and rightly so. The food is delicious and the portion are substantial. Don't order too much first time round - you can always ask for more. The staff make a big effort to assist you with your selections and are extremely courteous. We always try to visit whenever we are in York

Excellent as always. Lovely food very tasty and well presented.The homemade lemonade somewhat of a delight. The friendly staff were very helpful and knowledgeable on the menu providing swift service.

Very nice food at very reasonable prices and very attentive staff . Tomato chutney was excellent . Had range of main courses including the everest lamb which was excellent . Will certainly go back again
