We’ve been wanting to visit TN1 Bar and Kitchen for sometime, largely because of the positive reviews we’ve read, especially about Sunday lunch. Overall we rated it as ok, not bad but not outstanding in any way. It’s a comprehensive menu and staff were friendly enough. One of our party was a gluten free diner and asked our server to advise on dishes. It would have been a whole lot easier and a whole lot more disruptive to provide a marked up menu. Quite why restaurants think diners can remember everything that’s said when going through this torturous and unnecessary proceas is beyond me. We were told that more or less most things on the menu would be ok. However what this translates to is items being excluded e.g. no stuffing or yorkshires with the roast etc. I’ve never fathomed why restaurants do that - they don’t offer a discount on the meal but seem to think it’s ok to offer a third (or more) less items on the plate. Food was ok, nothing special and we left feeling we’d had an average experience. L

Food fresh and tasty, the Thai mussels were particularly excellent. Some of the fish options were unavailable, which was a shame, and the dessert menu isn’t as inventive as the savoury dishes. Blood Orange Cosmopolitan was lovely and the Sancerre very good. Staff, as always, were delightful but rushed off their feet so there were some comedy moments whilst we tried to complete our order as the server rushed off… weirdly, they didn’t seem to want to sell us any wine ??! But we persevered and it was well worth it.

The food was delicious & the staff very friendly. However, the general atmosphere was very noisy with loud music. Not ideal for catching up with friends!

Helpful and friendly staff. An attractive and convenient setting. Tasty dishes especially the fish and chips and monkfish.

Very busy, nice atmosphere. Good food quick service. If allergic to dogs or don't like dogs then be aware they have free roaming but very calm dog that walks freely around the restaurant.

Booked a table last minute, lots of people in there really nice clean relaxing place, friendly engaging staff, ordered Sunday roast lovely food and presentation ( missed parsnips off my plate 🙁 but my husband had 3 so I had some oh his 😀) will definitely go again

Excellent, generous and tasty Sunday roast. The pork crackling was superb. My brother in law loved the chicken but the portion wss so large he couldn't finish it. It's a lovely setting and the service was faultless.

Food was amazing and so was atmosphere, service was a bit slow, we waited 25 minutes for our dessert order to be taken but other than that it was incredible

Lovely friendly venue with large varied menu. We were in for a pre theatre dinner. Great to have a selection of dishes to share. Very lovely wait staff.

Excellent service from nessa, remembers us from before, remembers drink orders , offers were told 2 cocktails £15. Amazing was food, I had the steak perfectly cooked , my partner had chicken shish again amazingly cooking well flavoured. Always a wonderful place to come to , family friendly , always so wonderful

Great menu, lovely people and nice owners. Not much you can do about parents who let their offspring run riot, but the lovely waitress did try - so 10/10 for giving it a go :-)

I think they may have been having some trouble with their ordering system so we had quite a long wait after ordering our drinks and food but it couldn't be helped and they were very apologetic. We have been here for breakfast numerous times now and it is the best. food and service is second to none.

What can I say just amazing the whole evening service amazing food delicious presentation spot on surroundings beautiful pleasant atmosphere can not fault it Myself and husband are going to make it a weekly outing there thank you to you all

Parking is in a public multi storey car park. Restaurant is lovely (in an old florist’s shop). Staff a bit too attentive. Quite pricey with a limited menu Sunday but v tasty.

Fab place with a great vibe, attentive staff and delicious food. We went on a Saturday evening and there was live music which could have been a tad quieter as it made it difficult to hear each other speak but we really enjoyed ourselves.

Friendly service and the delivery of food was prompt. The fish and chips plate was a large serving and absolutely lovely! The fish burger followed the same trend! Sadly the king prawns, and the Salt & Pepper squid didn’t quite match-up to the other dishes. The prawns looked amazing, and they were cooked to perfection, but they had no flavour. The Salt & Pepper squid was a soggy batter - it’s supposed to be crispy but it was soft and just fell off the squid and sat in a mush in the bowl. We didn’t try any desserts as we sat for 15/20 mins after having the plates cleared, with no offer of a dessert menu. When we caught the waiters attention we simply asked for the bill instead, which came promptly.

Good, attentive, polite service - good timings of taking drinks, food and dessert orders. Good food and now with more choice on the menu I feel but prices have gone up, I guess to be expected though. Have been a few times and will still go again.

We decided to go out for dinner and wanted good service and good food. TN1 was our obvious choice.. The Moules Marinorte were the best I have had and Sue”s sea bass was excellent.

Friendly and inviting, staff were great and helpful prices were fair and portions were good. Good experience and always would go back!

From an recommendation me and my partner booked a table for Friday evening at 7pm, we ordered the mixed platter to start of which the pitta bread wasn’t toasted / heated up, we had a few random chips which had come out the frier with The calamari and the satay chicken starter was 3 tiny pieces of chicken for nearly a tenner was outrageous. Coming to the main, we shared the mixed grill platter which again was rather underwhelming to say the least. The flat iron steak was over cooked so hard and chewy, the lamb chops were raw and cold in the middle, nothing was seasoned and served to us on a large platter on a tiny table. This along with ridiculously expensive drinks, a live music act that just made everyone talk louder and the lack of customer service will will definitely not be returning. Once we had mentioned the lamb and the other few issues. The staff were increasingly more rude. Took off the service charge and didn’t even apologise. Rude staff, rubbish food, crap atmosphere. Don’t waste your time.
