Excellent, definitely worth a visit. I have been numerous times and always been lovely.

Fabulous food, friendly staff - however, we were placed in a booth in a back corner with an extremely noisy party to the side of us and behind us. We couldn’t hear each other speak above the screeching and generally obnoxious behaviour and bad language. It spoilt what was otherwise a lovely evening. More attention needed as to where people are placed, especially as there were spaces in other parts of the restaurant.

He food and service were impeccable. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent menu choice . Top quality food and service. Hubby had the Wagyu ribeye with beef dripping chips & onion rings. I chose the best end of cod with beef dripping chips and a prawn skewer. We shared a garlic butter sauce. Both meals were absolutely delicious.

Fantastic food, staff and atmosphere. Would like the option of adding a tip rather than added to the bill, misleading! would be better to put two totals not just one. It was my husband that read about the tip added on at bottom of bill!

Think the prices are high enough with out putting a service charge on and embarrassing people asking do they want to pay it. The food was delicious but it should be up to us how much we tip.

We arrived early for our table and were asked to take a seat in the bar area but had to go to bar for drinks having waited at least 10 mins for somebody to ask if we wanted a drink. Got impression it had been busy earlier as lots of glasses on tables waiting to be cleared but appeared very quiet when we arrived . Staff were polite on taking orders and bringing food etc but was a little disappointed with first impressions and it was to celebrate my wifes birthday, was just ok and we probably wont rush back.

The food was excellent, also was the service and overall the whole place is definitely worth a visit.

Mains Outstanding as always, fruit crumble not so good. Highly recommend a visit.

Food was lovely staff polite and pleasant but clearly rushed off their feet taken by surprise! Waited 45 minutes from starter to main meal a little disappointed as our first visit was exceptional

Lovely staff, lovely food, little blip with room cleaning, but when mentioned to young man in the main building, he made a note and was going to address the issue, can't ask more than that. It was our wedding anniversary and our dessert was presented on a decorated platter which was a nice touch. Would I go back.... Definitely

Excellent good and service. Would recommend better disabled access although this was only a minor issue and did not spoil the experience. Definitely be back!!

Room had small amount of rubbish feathers from bedding and clip off a new shirt on the floor. Next to no toilet paper, no toiletries bin in bathroom full of empty shower gel containers etc reported this to staff in restaurant who was under pressure due to staff not turning up for work which made him forget about our problem he sorted it out next morning when we paid the bill full of apologies would not let this experience stop me from visiting again

Great meal for most of it, however towards the end of the meal there was a man who was very drunk who kept shouting. Shame as it was only 8 in the evening on a Thursday. Apart from that a lovely evening.

This was our first visit to the Husthwaite Tomahawk... was greeted by Brad who we knew from Potto, made to feel welcome straight away... gorgeous decor... comfy seats.. we all had the Sunday roast... gorgeous as ever .. we will definitely be back 👍😘

Lovely venue! Love the fact we were asked whether we wanted to pay the service charge. Even better knowing it actually goes to the staff....very attentive and deserve it!
