Excellent food great blue steak with panhaggerty . Dessert a wonderful light ginger sponge pudding accompanied by a coconut sorbet. Good service even whilst restaurant was busy. Visit soon it will be worth it.

Excellent themed dinner menu. All dishes were well-balanced and presented - in particular, the 'Ham, Egg, & Chips' was a wonderful creation. Service welcoming and efficient. Select wine list and expanded drinks list with good selection of spirits including 'Twisted Nose' Hampshire Gin helps to complete a great evening.

We had a party of four for a birthday meal.A little quiet but not surprising for a wet Monday eve in jan!! Good menu, enough variety but not too extensive which is good, al a carte or a set menu. We all enjoyed good standard of food, and friendly service.

This is a really nice little restaurant. The service is excellent, the staff are very polite and the food is really good. We will be returning soon.

Great food in a sadly pretty deserted restaurant - guess January is often not a big lunch month though. My highlight was the stupendous spiced apple, flapjack & salted caramel ice cream dessert.

The 'Nose to Tail' event last night was another well-balanced menu of beautifully prepared and presented food, with friendly and efficient service - have already booked again!

Excellent food and friendly service. Always have a good and interesting menu, and the food is well presented. A very much underrated restaurant. We can also recommend their monthly special menu evenings.

The food was good but unfortunately we went on a very quiet night so did not get to experience any atmosphere .we will visit again.

Very good meal- lovely surroundings. A bit noisy but to be fair there were two tables having Christmas meals ( the meals looked lovely too-)

The food and the service was absolutely incredible, the pork was beautiful and the haddock chowder was just lovely! A fabulous restaurant and I would highly recommend.

As one of a group of six friends who enjoy good food and eat out regularly, Truffles is certainly in our top three of restaurants in the area. Delicious food, beautifully presented.

An intimate little restaurant with friendly staff and good food. Our first visit and probably will not be our last. Good service and just the right interval between courses. It was pleasantly full with a warm atmosphere.

Great food, great service. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Our friend is gluten intolerant and the team catered for her very well, talking through the menu and making adjustments where required. She lived the sloe gin sorbet to finish her meal !

Food very good although a tad expensive. Service excellent. Atmosphere a bit bland due mostly to the somewhat naff paintings dotted around on the various walls (I thought a photographic theme of some sort that reflected the type ad style of the restaurant would have been much better)

Pleasant restaurant, easy parking and good service. My medium rare steak was exactly as requested with tastey rosti potato cake. Pavlova dessert with bitter chocolate excellent, meringue nice and soft. A good experience.

We visited during the first of Truffles Restaurant monthly events. The special 4 course menu based on the theme of a celebration of summer had a series of exquisite dishes with a wonderful mix of flavours. All in all a memorable evening and one not to be missed. Future such events will be held on the first Thursday of every month and should not be missed.

We hadn't been to truffles for a few years but it was the exact same high standard. Efficient and friendly service. Starters, mains and deserts were delicious! Will be back sooner this time!

Nice restaurant very good food excellent but do not take your own birthday cake . As there is a charge for cakerage something I have never come across before.

Very quaint setting with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food was lovely and the waiting team attentive and knowledgeable regarding the menu; definitely worth a visit.

We went for the Seafood night. Every course was delicious and was presented with only a short wait between. Looking forward to the next special evening.

Truffles restaurant served lovely food which was made with care and attention. The service was very good and friendly. There was a large group in as well which didn't impact on service or waiting time.

Love this restaurant. The guinea fowl was the best I have eaten - so soft and moist. Great service and lovely atmosphere. Intimate and not stuffy.

Great food and great atmosphere as always, I had the salmon starter followed by the lamb .. Delish is an understatement . Looking forward to next visit.

Restaurant was warm and welcoming and Service attentive. I had beetroot cured salmon to start followed by roast guinea fowl. Both well presented and very tasty.

Service was very good and food was of very high quality. Just over £50 for starter and main course for two people plus one pint of beer. Would happily recommend this restaurant to others, definitely worth a visit.

5 rather than a 6 only because I did not have a starter but the food quality was excellent and served by polite and attentive staff.

We could not fault the food however, when our wine was opened at the table the waiter was leaning almost over my husband whilst he was eating which was very uncomfortable and he struggled to open the bottle on an already very wobbly table. Eventually the chef opened it for him.

Great food and service at a reasonable price. Small intimate environment right on Fareham High Street, definitely need to book but well worth it. We would happily recommend it.

All three courses were well presented the food was very tasty, hot. The staff were very polite, friendly and asked during each course if everything was alright. Value for money we would use Truffles again

Service was very good, and in general the food was excellent. Our party of three included two vegetarians and the menu did offer a vegetarian choice. I did request (in advance) that a second vegetarian option be offered & the response was that if the two vegetarians wanted something else then for us to phone then & discuss it. However, both felt this put them on an obligation to have the 'new' vegetarian meal, even if 'on the night' that ws not their preference. As it happened one really enjoyed the whereas the other only to an extent. We appreciate that it's very difficult to cater for all different types of people but as being a vegetarian is being less of an 'oddball' activity perhaps more than one vegetarian option should become a 'matter of practice'.

First visit with new owners. We thought the food was very tasty, and was beautifully cooked. The service was friendly and we will definitely come again.

Excellent restaurant with the most amazing food! Can't wait to go back, the staff are brilliant and the service was first class. The venison and fillet steak melted in your mouth. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

We had a very enjoyable evening. Food and Service was excellent, and very good value. The menu had a choice between a fixed price 2/3 courses, or an a la carte choice. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Really good food, well cooked and presented. Wine selection was well matched to food choices and fairly priced. Tight squeeze for seating as gap between tables was quite small. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. An enjoyable night out.

My wife ( both a coeliac and dairy intolerant) and myself enjoyed a lovely lunchtime meal on 4th May. The food was excellently presented and the taste equally good. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy fine dining at Truffles; great value for money and a Chef who has what it takes.

Very good food and relaxed atmosphere. Food freshly cooked and well presented, personal service. Quite expensive but worth it for a one-off occasion. Would recommend.
