Great High tea almost too much to eat. Wonderful variety within all dietary needs.Thank you to great staff.
all good plates are a bit small food very tasty buddha bowl over priced
Great ambience, great food, friendly helpful staff. Always a good venue to meet friends
Lovely high tea and great ambience. I would highly recommend
I believe it was a bad idea to serve a full Sunday Roast on a plate that is too small with the whole meal in a pile. No room to cut the meat or anything else very awkward to actually eat it.
I have been to the Wishing Well on numerous occasions and the experience has always been good. Unfortunately that was not the case yesterday. It took over an hour to receive our food as the first waitress took our drinks order and never came back to the table to take our food order, so we had yo ask another waitress. The roast dinners that we ordered didn't have stuffing on and one dinner didn't have a Yorkshire pudding. A waitress brought coffees to our table that we didn't order. Once puddings arrived my sons churros didn't have the Nutella chocolate as stated on the menu so we had to ask for that. I complained when I went to pay and the owner at the till sincerely apologised for our poor service and offered us £50 in vouchers. She also took the service charge off the bill. However when I calculated the bill afterwards we had still been overcharged for our food and drinks. Overall a poor experience.
Such a beautiful peaceful place. Food and service was amazing. The Gardens are wonderful and you would think you were in a tropical garden. Would definitely recommend
As good as always. First choice when dining out in the Weymouth area.
Lovely place to visit. Magical gardens and generous food portions. We all had a great time.
Had a tasty lunch and took away couple of slices more like slabs of cake for later . Polite friendly funny staff ..love it here .. one of my favourite places to come thank you
Lovely setting in the garden. Very relaxing place in Weymouth.
The Wishing Well is a regular place to visit for us and it doesn't disappoint. We would particularly recommend Sunday lunch for the atmosphere with many visiting locals.
Great food and garden Parking is bit difficult if busy
Lovely place, been before, always a great experience with beautiful setting
We had a nice tea at a beautiful place with many happy family memories. Thank you!
Great service. Delicious food and the most beautiful setting. Love going there.
It was our first visit and will definitely be going again
We were thrilled to discover the wishing well tea room. Its ambience food etc was amazing. We will definitely be back
Food was OK but thought rather expensive. Waitress got my order wrong.
Amazing high tea glorious food. stunning gardens. staff lovely and friendly.
Amazing first class service whenever we visit. Staff are very helpful. Food fantastic. We will be back!
It was my first time of visiting and I’m blown away!!! Food and cakes were amazing! 100% will be returning x
What a beautiful setting. We happened to be there just in time for the dressing of the Well. Food was delicious. Our group of 3 had the Quiche of the day , a Ploughman's and a ceasar salad and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Also we had to be naughty and have a slice ( more like a wedge ) of homemade cake! We will be back!
Always good. Quick efficient service , plenty to choose from on the menu and beautiful setting.
amazing food ,service excellent and beautiful setting. Overall OUTSTANDING .
Just lovely as usual Great staff Simple well presented food
Lovely visit round the garden followed by a delicious lunch…we had the quiche which was quite simply scrumptious 😋
My friends fish pie was near impossible to cut and lemon meringue cake a bit disappointing. Good service, marvellous setting.
Lovely restaurant and gardens. Have been going to the Wishing Well for many years and highly recommend a visit.
Lovely setting, good food, lovely friendly staff and excellent service. Would highly recommend a visit
Lovely setting , great food , lovely staff . We sat outside by the stream and the weather was gorgeous! Peaceful and relaxing location .
Lovey setting , friendly staff and great service . Scones were delicious. Felt the cakes could have been a bit more varied . Tasty savouries .
Food, everything, as it always is, excellent. Delicious lunch today
Absolutely wonderful afternoon ,food service excellent gardens amazing tranquility friendly
The 5 of us had a lovely couple of hours in the cafe and walking round the beautiful gardens. We will definitely be back 😃
Easy to use online booking. You remembered I had said it was our anniversary. Lovely food
We had looked forward to eating at the restaurant as the setting is idyllic but both of us were disappointed. The food we would give 6/10. Both meals had just a handful of chips, and my hog roast burger tasted exactly like shop bought BBQ pulled pork. I expected the burger to at least come with lettuce and tomato for £14:50! All of it tasted like it had come off a supermarket shelf. My partner’s meal was also disappointing. Admittedly she went for a small plate but has had the exact same order at other places and they far outshone what we received today. This was a real shame as we had looked forward to coming. We will come again but skip the food next time
Wonderful meal . We all had the Sunday Roast which was fabulous . Super service with very friendly staff
Great service, great food but very pricey. Looking forward to the summer so can sit out in the gardens..
Delicious food and great service . Would definitely go back !
Lovely meal for our family get together. We have been here many times and have always enjoyed the food.
We had a great time at the alice in wonderland special event for Easter! The staff are so attentive and the food is delicious. The entertainment was perfect for children aged 2-7. The grounds are lovely to walk around too.
An excellent warm friendly welcome, beautifully presented food, good atmosphere! Lovely gardens!
Nothing to add. We had a wonderful lunch with great service. We will definitely be returning
Friendly welcome. Speedy service despite it being very busy. Good quality food. Great atmosphere 😊
Our first visit to this lovely place. Welcoming friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere in a pretty, light and airy tearoom. Dogs are welcome, which is a plus for us. We chose to eat indoors, but there are plenty of tables outside, a pretty water garden adding to the charm of this place. The food was delicious, although I did feel the portions were on the small side for the prices. Everything was fresh and tasty. Delicious coffee to round off the lunch. I would definitely recommend the Wishing Well, if you can find a parking space! I hope to visit again in the near future.
Lovely little place , lovely staff and gardens the food is great , lots of choose recommend to all my friends ! Cakes look good too .
Lovely brunch! Staff really kind (being deaf they made sure I understood what was being said).
Great meal. We had jacket potatoes with ab incredible salad. Too full for a pudding though. Excellent service too.
I booked a long time ago for our family of 5 (which included 2 children) for Sunday lunch. We were all on holiday from Oxfordshire but had knew about Upwey Wishing Well. We loved the food (a generous Sunday roast and particularly delicious gravy), the service was warm, friendly and efficient, the atmosphere wonderful and the walk through the gardens after lunch was magical. The only negative was the noise level once the restaurant started filling up, which made our table conversation difficult. Nothing you can do about that, I guess… Overall a memorable experience and we will definitely be going again.
