We came down from Salisbury just for the ploughman’s lunch and it was worth every penny. Beautifully presented and the ham was the best we had ever had . The only downside for us was it felt a little bit cramped as our table was almost adjoining to the other table next to us , we had to sit through a woman who didn’t stop talking about her hair for the whole of the time we were sat there, we understand that this isn’t the restaurants fault but we both felt we couldn’t talk to each other as we would have had to be loud to be heard and that’s not us. The gardens are fantastic we will be back in the summer to sit and appreciate the stunning setting.

Always a great experience at the Wishing Well. Lovely Sunday lunch with obliging and friendly staff who were cheerful all the time despite working flat out.

Beautiful setting gardens are beautiful. My daughter and I had high tea, she is vegetarian which they catered for, she only drinks fruit tea which they also catered for. The food was lovely, cakes were exceptionally good especially the carrot cake. Staff were very friendly we will definitely go back

There for opening time so fairly quiet but excellent and friendly service. Bonus for us was that it is dig friendly.

Food was amazing, gluten free choices were good. Even though the restaurant was very busy, wait times were good and staff attentive. It was slightly noisy but to be expected due to how busy it was. Will definitely be going again.

We visited for my birthday and had a fantastic lunch and homemade dessert. It is a unique and welcoming setting with beautiful grounds. We’ll be back again soon.

The restaurant was very busy as we were there 12.30 to 2.30, consequently it was quite noisy. Lots of people were eating in the garden (brave, as it was 4°!) and it was draughty when the back door was open. The staff were rushed off their feet and a bit stressed. Will choose a quieter time to visit next time.

I was treated to a birthday lunch the food amazing all staff very friendly a wonderful atmosphere even walked round the lovely gardens but as it was Feb it was cold outside and definitely be going back in the warmer weather

Hidden Gem in Dorset. The gardens I’m sure are so lovely in Summer to sit and have tea and cake. Idyllic.

Food was great. My only comment is that I understand the service charge is added to the bill. I wasn’t aware of that so I felt it was a bit excessive for a table of 6 with us all paying extra. The waiting staff only took a drinks order, then a food order and brought them out. Nothing that would warrant such an additional cost overall.

Four of us enjoyed a delicious lunch yesterday. The service was great & the waitress very friendly. It was wonderful to see my favourite treacle sponge with custard on the menu.

Fabulous Sunday lunch in nice surrounds, friendly and efficient service and very fairly priced. The lovely gardens are best enjoyed in fine weather.
