Myself and a friend had not been since I lost my husband. He was in a wheelchair towards the end and we could not visit as the garden is not wheelchair friendly, but my husband and I visited frequently and have photos our ourselves standing by the well area. It is a lovely friendly restaurant, and has changed hands since we last visited. The people are more friendly than the previous owners.

Haven't been here for a while; was celebrating our wedding anniversary. Had traditional roast dinner (beef & all trimmings) - was delicious. Have to say, this is the only place where you are given extra gravy (in a boat) and not a mini jug without asking. Staff were very pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the walk around the gardens afterwards. Thanks Upwey.

We've been for lunches several times and always enjoyed them, but yesterday's was not as good, service was slow, we waited over 20 minutes just for drinks, when the food arrived, some of the meat was quite tough, the Yorkshire puddings over cooked, my stepmum couldn't eat hers. Then the desert came out wrong, I did speak to a member of staff when paying, but she didn't have much to say about it!!

Lovely 😊 I took my mum for brunch and then we went rogue with extra cake and more drinks. As a local we’ve been before but that’s testament to this being a great place to eat/visit. Food always lovely and gardens still as pretty as before. Spent a good couple of hours here chilling and catching up

Good food and service in a very pleasant atmosphere. Prices reasonable, choice reasonable. No signal inside but is outside. Parking could be an issue but we were fine.

We loved our main meals, and three people thought there desserts were fabulous; the bread pudding. Two of us chose the crumble and were a little disappointed. We both prefer crispy toppings and the topping was a bit soft. Maybe We should have said something at the time and it is just a preference. The custard was lovely. We love The Wishing Well and would thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely cosy and welcoming from the start The high tea was great with plenty of tea/coffee if needed. Assortment of sandwiches and home made cakes followed by the scone and jam/cream, which I took home as couldn't eat any more. Our server a very nice guy was very attentive so made our time there lovely. Thanks to all

Wonderful bright and inviting restaurant, when you walk in the room it is beautiful, bright and the tables are laid out spaciously. The service was amazing and you are given a very warm welcome. The staff were super friendly and the menu full and interesting with a separate vegan menu. We chose the roast dishes, beef, chicken and chicken pie. All the dishes came out together and were really hot and tasty. Lots of veg and extra gravy and Yorkshire puddings were provided. We didn't need to ask for anything as the staff were so attentive. I WON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR A SUNDAY ROAST! If we could have fit pudding in we would have definitely gone for some of the cakes on display 😋 fantastic looking cakes with a gluten free choc option. We shall be back for a cream tea or as the kids wanted a chocolate milkshake! After paying we took a stroll round the gardens which were beautiful. We'll worth a visit to this hidden gem.

The on line booking a waste of time. ..the very friendly waitress had no knowledge of our reservation when we turned up.We did get a table however. We have visited and eaten at this very charming tea room every year for the past dozen or so. Clearly it has had ( an unecessary) makeover which is not a big problem but the vfm on the food has reduced considerably. The gardens still very charming however.
