Upwey Wishing Well

The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and the ambience of the restaurant is homely. We have been on different occasions and have never had a bad meal. I definitely recommend a visit 😁

We booked last minute for Easter Sunday lunch. Fortunately they had just had a cancellation and fitted us in. Service was great, staff very friendly and food was excellent.

We had a really lovely Easter lunch here with a walk around the garden before we sat down. As always, the food was delicious, very well presented and plentiful. Staff are always really attentive, would highly recommend!

Wonderful service, food superb, just can’t fault it and my no one grievance at restaurants,,, (piped music) there wasn’t any so what’s not to like. Superb in every way.

Friendliest of staff, so helpful and plenty of choice for us as vegan/dairy free customers. Outstanding surroundings. Food great. Will definitely be returning for treats with friends and family. Very special.

We went there to meet a friend whose birthday it was. All of us had veggie options, which were all delicious and yummy cakes. The service is perfect. The surroundings are perfect. All in all. Amazing.

This was our first visit and it would have helped to know there is no car park but food was excellent and cake was yummy and staff were lovely, will be going back to try some of the other bits on menu

Very cute little place indoors but lovely extensive gardens which in summer would be nice by the river. Scone from cream tea crumbly and warm. Best I have had in a long time. Staff really nice and very polite. Definitely recommend it.

We ordered gluten and lactofree afternoon tea, which is next to impossible to get anywhere and we had the most amazing experience. Friendly service, fabulous food and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, we have been before and will be back again!

Our first visit and definitely not our last…food was excellent.

We enjoyed our visit very much. Only one slight disappointment, I had pre- booked a table but when we arrived the lady said someone was still sitting at our table, which was a little annoying. The tea room was very busy but luckily there was another table free which the staff cleaned and made ready for us. We had the scones which were delicious.

Our visit to The Wishing Well and definitely worth it. Our Sunday lunch was excellent, a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the staff were friendly and relaxed. Our wander round the gardens which we didn’t expect was a lovely surprise too! Will definitely be back again!

It was a fantastic dining experience! The place was full on Tuesday lunch time, the staff was very busy but every one of them was relaxed, cheerful with a sense of humour. Service with a smile added to the great atmosphere and fantastic quality of food. I will return! :)

We had a recommendation to visit and were not disappointed. Both the food and service were excellent.

We knew what we wanted to eat as soon as we walked through the door. Another couple were tucking into their meals and it looked and smelt delcious and so we ordered the same. We were not disappointed it was absolutely delicious and plentiful.
