Keralan and South Indian cuisine puts up a fierce fight against the more commonly encountered food of its northern Indian cousins, infusing dishes with seafood, spice and sunkissed ingredients for a special meal. Here at New Nila, a specialist south Indian restaurant in Sutton-in-Ashfield, on the outskirts of Mansfield, the difference is palpable – coconutty and delicately spiced fish comes wrapped in banana leaves and there are vegetarian options aplenty. This is south Asian health food in a nutshell, and you can find it at New Nila’s distinctive ultramarine blue restaurant on Brook Street.
Absolutely brilliant my friend had the special vegetarian Thalis it looked beautiful and interesting and he really enjoyed it , I had the masala dosa , it was huge beautiful and crispy and the masala was lovely I also had a beetroot upperi totally yum ! Great service and possibly one of the best Indians I have tasted to date ... I will be back for more . The atmosphere was great and nice Indian music
Yet again we received excellent service at the restaurant. The food was probably the best Indian food we have had, although we have had Keralan food on several occasions. The choice of food, is excellent and good value
Nice service. The place was quiet and brilliantly done. Tried the kozhikoden biriyani ehich turned out to be really good. Would definitely visit again. 😁
