The Venetian

One of the top restaurants I have visited, plenty of others places to eat in Ramsbottom, but this is currently our favourite. Will visit again.

Amazing food we loved the tapas so so much! staff very helpful with food suggestions We loved the Lamb meatballs especially. We would recommend to friends and family

Always have a good time but think it may help if waiters explain some dishes as there was a tad of confusion over what was served to some friends

First time here. Lovely food, lovely service and a nice atmosphere. We couldn't believe the bill was so cheap! We will most definitely be returning again.

Food and service was very good, not expensive either! We had our meal upstairs - and did not realise there was s bar and better eating rooms downstairs, we would visit again but would insist on eating down stairs..

We really enjoyed the whole experience of The Venetian. Food was really tasty. Quick and friendly service. The steps down were a bit tricky to two of our party. Also a little noisy. The live music was very good but it meant that the customers got louder. We will gladly recommend The Venetian to future visitors. Thank you.

Excellent food, friendly service. Really good atmosphere. We will certainly go again and highly recommend it. If, like us you're a party of 6+ ask for the wine cellar room, it was great!

Lovely ambience and food absolutely delicious. Expensive though and would have liked to have had description of food served i.e. cheeses , dips , was told selection of cheeses were `Italian cheeses` but not what and some had nuts in them. Also told children eat free ONLY on a Sunday around 4 ish when the chef would come out and make pizzas for them. Not sure if we would go back as had better but local setting is a positive.

Great place and great atmosphere, food was lovely too. Had to wait half an hour to be seated (we had booked) however they were really busy so we didn't mind. Will deffinately be back!

Incredibly friendly staff, freshly cooked food, great atmosphere, would recommend this restaurant , prices are moderate but you get what you pay for, the quality is good to very good, calves liver dish was excellent.

First time eating at the venetian would 100% recommend it to people. Friendly and hospitable and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Great food and ambience will definitely be returning

Visited on Thursday 30th March, just 2 of us, really great food, excellent service, fab atmosphere and the best Espresso Martinis. We had a night to remember.

Fantastic little restaurant! Service was faultless and food was served pretty much instantly and tasted beautiful. I would definitely be returning to the Venetian hideaway in Ramsbottom again.

Excellent food. Good choice of wines and cocktails. We always have a good night there. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. Thursday and Saturday the live music is so good too.

Fab fab fab . Food delicious . Wine superb ..overall experience fabulous . Italian Tapa idea wonderful Pasta anchovies n truffle to die for. Will be back .

Lovely atmosphere, the kids made their own pizzas and we all enjoyed the food. We love the Venetian and go there often. New house wine was really nice too.

Lovely little find. Cosy restaurant with a really welcoming & cheerful atmosphere. High quality food with great service. Returned here last week after several visits in the past. Fantastic atmosphere, lovely staff and the food was delicious. Highly recommend, and will definitely be visiting again in the future.

As usual excellent food and happy relaxed atmosphere. Love the lights on the ceiling. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be going again soon.

Portions have shrunk. Felt slightly ripped off. Manager very friendly and tried to sort all the problems but there were too many untrained junior staff. It was disappointing as we usually have a very good experience there.

The meal was excellent, and we enjoyed having 4 smaller dishes rather than two large ones, this gave us a good range of things to eat. The service was very good and very friendly and welcoming. It is a warm and inviting place to go for a meal. I will definitely return before too long.

Food was excellent, atmosphere vibrant. Over all a very enjoyable experience. It was ver busy but service was a little erratic, should have been better.

It was just lovely from the service to the food - would definitely recommend it. The staff are very friendly and from the minute you walk in they make you feel welcome

The staff were friendly and attentive, took time to explain the menu and gave recommendations on the size of portions and what to expect, and the food was excellent.

Atmosphere in here was great - Saturday night - live music and busy tables, nice welcome from the staff - great start! However my partner and I were both disappointed with the food. The pizza was tasty although would have been nice with a bit more topping. The other dishes - seafood risotto - bland and overcooked. Lamb meatballs - small and again quite bland. Scallops were tiny and overcooked again. Also we understand that the food comes out at different times but at one point we waited about 20mins between dishes. Wouldn't return here unfortunately, a shame as the atmosphere is lively but food disappointing during our visit.

The place was very busy good job we booked it. The food was a bit tasteless there seemed to be somthing missing also one thing I hate is that they bought the main food while still eating the starters, why? Over all it was OK.

We had 5 dishes between two, food was ok, but generally overpriced (chicken skewers). Clearly a very popular place but I won't be heading back.

Friendly place, good atmosphere - a bit frenetic. WE realised after we'd ordered some meatballs we never got .think we paid for them to! Overall, though, worth as second visit. Food tasty and pizza looked amazing!

It was lovely, great atmosphere and food came really quick. Although a few things we did order didnt turn up, salad, pizza, glass of wine but it didnt effect out night as we were stuffed anyway

Great service from efficient, polite young staff. Food gorgeous and good size chiccetti portions ..superb pork ribs and scallops (although noy many!!). Great atmosphere. .highly recommended

Excellent meal,good service a free bottle of wine as food bill was greater than £40 per couple.Very cosy atmosphere and good background music. Will definitely try it again.

An interesting and wide variety of dishes. Quality of food was excellent. Welcoming and relaxed atmosphere in the downstairs restaurant. Attention to detail by the owner who went out of his way to ensure we had a really enjoyable evening.

The food and service was great. We had a booking but called to say we'd be late and they happily got us a table for when we arrived.

The food was above average, although the pizza was very good. The service was very friendly & pleasant. The italian draft beer, Poretti, was very pleasant and refreshing.

Waited almost an hour for table which seemed the norm for other diners. Food poor quality and overpriced. Toilets filthy. General decor feels rundown. Never again.

Wife had champagne cork in her eye , now bruised, from waitress at another table, same waitress poured drink over my shirt and trousers....soaked! No apology or compensation on the bill or offer of a complimentary drink. Final drinks ordered didn't arrive, overall it was a let down since we had taken friends for the first time. However, the food was very good.!

Good food but the staff forgot to bring us the wine we ordered. It wouldn't put me off going again. They also had live music downstairs which was a nice touch.

Excellent food, excellent service, warm and friendly environment, the only issue I had was we had to vacate the table after 2 hours to allow other people to eat, which could not allow us to appreciate the entertainment, due to limited space for standing.

Totally gorgeous food, with a really varied menu. Paulo and his staff are so friendly and welcoming. A vibrant and bustling atmosphere adds to the lovely experience of visiting here. Highly recommend a visit here.

I was so looking forward to going here , all looked promising when we arrived , fab atmosphere , looked after straight away . wine and beer lovely .. Just the food that let the evening down . Food was cold we had to complain and send back . I know a few people have been here and had an amazing night , so potentially we just had a blip , so will give it another go , and fingers crossed

Food was good and reasonably priced. It was busy for a Wednesday night so service was slow but staff were very pleasant. It was also a bit cold.

We booked a table for 8:30. We arrived 5 minutes early but were greeted by total chaos! Restaurant was packed! Got told to go to the bar and order a drink not even asked for our name. Kept being promised a table and finally got seated 1.5 hours later not even in their restaurant but on a table upstairs which was a different restaurant altogether! Food was good but we found it to be over priced for what you get

Great food, great service and fab atmosphere. Absolutely top marks all round. Will be back again soon and highly recommend. And a bargain half price prosecco on Thursdays :)

Rather small & informal, service & food very good, menu is a little different being tapas style Italian, smaller portions and not overfilling. Very good & will go back.

Overall experience was ok. Food slightly odd way of eating drinks very very expensive even at half price offer the very average prosecco was still more than you'd expect to pay. Staff really lovely would go back but just for drinks and nibbles not a celebration meal

Asked for table upstairs. Refused. Too noisy. Been to Venetian many times. Usually very good but not impressed with staff service and flippant attitude. Will not return unless guaranteed to have table upstairs where we have been well treated. Business class as opposed to coach class

Great food, very efficient and friendly service. Staff very helpful in ensuring that we as new customers fully understood the nature of the menu and the principle behind the restaurant.

There's always a great atmosphere here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. And it's on our doorstep. What's not to like?

I asked my amazing girlfriend to marry me there, it is that nice. Reminds us of walking all around Venice. The atmosphere is always really good in there. You couldn't ask for friendlier staff. Brilliant night. Thank you.
