The Viceroy occupied one of the highest regal roles in the princely states of India in the days of the British Raj. He reported only back to the colonial overlords back in London, and represented the crown on the subcontinental. Viceroy Indian in Bollington do almost the same job, just the other way around, displaying the very best of India in England via their range of Indian delicacies and curry house classics. They’ve been in business for 15 years – always a good sign in the competitive Manchester curry scene – and their combination of tandoori dishes, rich curries and Bangladeshi specialities keep the punters coming back time and again to Ingersley Road in Bollington on the edge of Macclesfield. Gather up all the curry connoisseurs in your family and book a table at Viceroy Indian now.
Usual excellent food and service, we had a great night. I like the fact that you can ask for your preferred level of spiciness as this means you can try different dishes.
Lovely food friendly staff Can t fault it went for set menu for 2 more than enough. Only went for that due to give choice on menu and wife couldn't decide
Excellent food as always, fantastic value for money at £9.95 for 4 courses - Highly recommended. Staff are very attentive and friendly, children very welcome also.
Easy to book online. The service was great and the staff were friendly. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. I would recommend the Viceroy in Bollington to everyone.
AMAZING food but we were told we couldn't use our Tastecards during 'Christmas Week' which was not on either their own website or the Tastecard website - so this wasn't a great start to the meal. They did honour them in the end. I checked the Tastecard website again afterwards and it specifically says you CAN use Tastecard in this restaurant throughout December.
The Staff are friendly and efficient. The food is really excellent. The Sunday special even on New Years day was fantastic value. We had a brilliant night, Four adults, three teens and a nine year old. Everyone very happy.
Nice but not as nice as it used to be, flyer said glass of prosecco for everyone but when we asked we were tol it was only the later sitting which wasn’t stated and we were still celebrating the new year despite it being early as we were with our children so that was a little disappointing
Lovely surroundings, great food, fantastic service, will be regular visitors from now on, Bollington is a nice village, and the restaurant itself is very quaint, the bar area for pre dinner drinks is fabulous too,
A little disappointed with the meal on this visit, we were a party of six gentlemen who dine out regularly at Indian resteruants, all the members of our group were in agreement that the various meals we had did not come up to the standard we expected of this resteruant.
First class service from the minute you step through the door. Exceptional quality and great tasting food, really good value for money and never lets you down, can't wait to go back
