Viceroy Tandoori

Excellent food, fresh tasting and delicious coupled with friendly and attentive service, this restaurant deserves the good reviews and high ratings it receives. First visit last weekend, we will definitely return if in the area again.

Without a doubt my favourite Indian restaurant in Birmingham. Top quality, fresh food & great service.

the food came starters and mains together biriani was dry then had to ask for a desert menu after desert we ordered Sambuka which came out on fire on the up side the staff are very happy and friendly but don't think I would revisit

The staff where great the food was fantastic , service spot on what more do you want ? . We arrived an hour early and they still managed to fit us in a very busy restaurant . Highly recommended . Just go .

Super restaurant, polite and helpful staff, good atmosphere. It was a delicious meal, the king prawns were beautifully cooked and one of my fellow diners had lamb, so often rather tough in Indian restaurants but this melted in her mouth. You could taste the freshness of the produce. We loved the accompaniments with the poppadums so much we kept them for the main meal! staff could have not done enough.

Lovely restaurant, highly recommended for a something a little more special. Clean, bright and contemporary, the widow into the kitchen is a nice touch. The staff were attentive, welcoming and very efficient, getting the balance just right. The food was delicious and the menu offered a nice range of varied and unusual dishes, not just the run-of-the-mill Indian stalwarts. It's not the cheapest, but you still feel like you're getting value for money as the quality of the food is well worth the price

Lovely food, attentive service! Made welcome from the very start. Only criticism is that a few of the dishes were a little bland and overly sweet for our tastes. Plenty of food though and this wouldn't put me off visiting again.

Restaurant had brilliant atmosphere, lovely setting with attentive staff. Food was astonishingly good - probably the best curry I have ever eaten! Would definitely recommend.

Food was amazing! All the staff were so friendly and polite and let us decorate the table for my dads birthday. They really made the night special

Great food, particularly the mixed starter! Was very sceptical before I went although had read the reviews which were very positive. A bit pricey but in my view well worth a visit!

Went last night great food as always, been numerous times and always the same quality of food. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is good.

Had a meal with 4 friends. Nice decor, a little more upmarket than your traditional balti house. Good food but not exceptional, decent service and the bill was reasonable. would return.

Another excellent evening at this great modern Indian restaurant.Very good food,charming attentive service and a buzzy ambience.We will definitely return but until then will recommend to our friends.

Clean, friendly staff, menu went beyond the usual Asian cuisine, overall an excellent experience. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Have already recommended it to others.

Very friendly with good atmosphere. Starter was brilliant. Very enjoyable. Main was rather disappointing with chicken and lamb both overlooked. Otherwise very good. Will go again.

Booked the Viceroy on a recommendation of a friend and wasn't disappointed - Monday night and the food was really fresh and full of flavour. Excellent customer service, the owner and staff made us feel really welcome. The house starter was beautiful. So nice that we are returning on Saturday with friends.

This is a nice enough restaurant and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was ok but didn't blow me away and whilst it is applaudable that there are different menu choices from your usual indian restaurant I didn't feel compelled to come back soon.

Great table service and great food. Been a few times and enjoyed it every time. I've recommended it to friends who say the same. The fixed menu is really really good.

Both the food and the service were excellent. Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable and recommended the mixed tandoori starter which could just about be the best I have ever eaten. Pickled ( yes - pickled) chicken bhuna main course and Nan bread was fantastic.Probably one of the best curries I have eaten in a long time.

We enjoyed another excellent evening at this restaurant.The food is first-rate and the service is friendly,intelligent and efficient.There is a buzz about the place which is more often found in London restaurants and makes for a great time.

The four of us all really enjoyed our meals. There are plenty of choices including many fish dishes. The restaurant is clean and there's a nice atmosphere. The staff are very friendly.

Modern Indian restaurant, Fantastic food and very friendly attentive staff. The best Indian meal I've had in Birmingham, and I've had more than a few!

Great food and service one of the best indian meals I have had in ages, only two small negative points , the table of 4 opposite appeared to have to wait a long time for their main courses and had to ask on 3 occasions although they were very patient about it, at the same time we had to remind someone for our bill on 2 occasions. Not issues that would put me off going again or recommending to others. Best to book, we did and were glad as all tables were taken and this was on a Thursday.

Another great night at the viceroy.This time it was for my wife's birthday and the food,drink,service and atmosphere was once again exceptional.I would highly recommend this place

Great restaurant. My fourth visit (I live in Staffs , or would be there more often). Fabulous food, great choice of dishes, great service, and all at a reasonable price.

Fantastic food and good service. Some unusual dishes such as mackerel samosas. Recommend the garlic chilli lamb. Not the cheapest restaurant but the quality of food is top notch.
