Service was excellent, with staff being very accommodating to our group with children. Sunday roast was above average and other dishes were very good. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. An eclectic mix of diners. Food very good and well presented . If i have a criticism the cheese board was a little unimaginative . My companions dessert however was enormous

Really like this restaurant. Good choice of food and the Pork Belly with mustard mash & red cabbage was the best pork belly (& amazing crackling) i've ever had. Great service, ambience and a fair price. Will definitely be going back.

The standard of some other restaurants in Walthamstow village has gone down over the last few years but the Village Kitchen has maintained it's standard of excellent food and great service.

Hospitality good and friendly restaurant. Good food. My friend can't have dairy, refined Suger and gluten so choices on the menu was limited. Staff were helpful never the less.

Atmosphere was great and the staff very pleasant and helpful. We had the window table and with it being winter it could have been more comfortable. There seemed to cold air coming in. Food was fine if not spectacular.

Sunday roast was very tasty with enormous Yorkshire pudding! They even had a vegetarian option. Portions were big and a bit too much for lunch but you can always skip your dinner, right.

Great Walthamstow restaurant - good menus and interesting specials. Small but well balanced wine list. Good for special night out or family meal. Never let me down yet!

Not as good as we remember. Breakfast disappointing value: one sausage, one bacon, one egg, toast extra for £9. All tasty enough, but nothing special. Service friendly but slow.

Went for a Sunday roast. Can't fault the food at all, all of our meals were delicious and well prepared. Great fresh ingredients and the meat cooked perfectly as well as a lovely veggie option. Service was fantastic and quick.

Another very good meal at Village Kitchen - a birthday treat from my brother. I note there is a 2 hour limit for parties of 2 and different limits for other party sizes; I don't like these one bit even if an economic reality, but thankfully not applied this time presumably as restaurant not totally full.

I really did enjoyed the food very much especially the mains, steak was beautifully. We did feel that the service was a little too slow.

Usually love it here but the menu was limited. They were out of what I wanted for a starter and main. I ended up having a chicken burger... Great service though and food was good. Just didn't have what I wanted. Shame.

Thank you for another lovely family meal at the Village Kitchen - the food was delicious and the service was faultless and friendly. The roast beef was amazing and the children loved their burgers. Will definitely be back.

Not busy when we arrived, only 2 of us, but it took over 30 mins to get a jug of water and bottle of wine to us. Our starter arrived 15mins later, mine was unpleasant (I wasn't charged for it). My friend's marinated beetroot tasted shop bought/prepared. The mains lacked seasoning. Staff pleasant but good poor

We booked in via Quandoo for Sunday lunch. Village Kitchen was busy as usual but that didn't stop the staff from giving us a warm welcome and making us feel valued. I had the roast salmon with trimmings, husband had the roast chicken, knowing how generous the portions are we had deliberately skipped breakfast, but I had to reluctantly give up two roast potatoes to allow room for the Eton Mess which is an absolute favourite dessert. Other half chose the chocolate bread and butter pudding with custard which is a firm favourite. Chose a Pinot Noir to drink. Great value for money, this is and always will be one of our favourite restaurants.

Another great evening out at Village Kitchen, food as always superb, great service and lovely staff. I bypassed starters having had a large lunch, partner had calamari which was delicious. He then had the plaice whilst I tried the red curry from the Specials. We both cleared our plates. I managed the Eton mess for dessert he declined anything from the dessert menu.

After sitting down we weren't even offered a drink after 15 minutes so we gave up and left. This was our third attempt to support this local business and we've given up now.

The meal was great! We sat outside and had the burger and a drink for £10 deal. The brueger was cooked to perfection (medium-rare for me), with lovely homemade chunky chips and tasty, creamy coleslaw. I can also recommend the cocktails, of which we have one, which were also on offer too (2-4-1). The service was attentive, efficient and polite. I'd highly recommend this establishment for future guests.

Wonderful food and our waitress could not have been more friendly or efficient. My daughter who is 12 years old, did not like anything on the a la carte menu, but they were happy to make anything on the Children's Menu bigger for her

The meal was nice overall but the lamb was stringy in my opinion. They seemed to be short staffed as our waitress seemed to be in a constant rush and we had to wait a hit. I am not sure it is as good as it was.
