After a 45 minute wait, our food arrived, 2 quite small roast sunday lunches and 1 order of fish and chips. The fish was allegedlly Cod in beer batter, the batter was soft and slimy, the chips overcooked. The sunday roast's vegetables were overcooked, no mash as stated on the menu, the beef was tough and the roast pots were like conkers. A Mothers day ruined and a £43 bill. It may be quite a while before we return to this local pub, if ever.

Great place not been for years very pricey for the area

We visited the restaurant on a Friday recently at 1pm. The booking process was really straight forward and used the Quandoo app to keep track. The restaurant itself is very nice with a conservatory to the side is really nice and this is where we sat. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious. The only thing was that it was quiet but that could have been on a weekday. Highly recommended

Was attracted to the valentines menus (burger and drink) advertised on Facebook. So thought we would give it another try under the new management. Wasn’t offered the special menu on arrival (albeit I did comment on the Facebook advert) and we were charged drinks extra. Didn’t cause a fuss and just paid the bill. Menu was a scruffy stained bit of paper - why! Get it laminated - it’s the small things that make all the difference. Food was ok but no atmosphere - very few customers. I don’t think we would go back.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Chef also came out to us. Fresh veg. Well cooked and tasty meat dishes. Hot. Well presented. Perhaps background music a bit loud at times.
