Only stayed the one night, had room number 1 very spacious, slightly aware of the noise from the extractor fan when the kitchen is in use, but we had ear plugs with us (would only be needed early morning) Bedroom/Pub very pleasant, staff very attentive, food was delicious. Thank You for an enjoyable stay.

This is a great pub, serving good food, wine .

Waited just over an hour for main course. My food was good as was my husband but he had pork ribeye and the portion size was quite small. Ordered white wine and lemonade got wine and soda. Given a free round which was appreciated - this time I had a whiskey famous grouse with lemonade, again tasted strange - no lemonade and it and whiskey did not taste good, I left it, Won’t go back in a rush as a similar thing happened last time we were there before the flooding.

Fantastic service and food, great place next to the River Lune.

The food was really good. The tex mex theme wasn’t advertised as having chilli in it and the jambalaya was rather hot. The fajitas were served on a lovely round wooden platter. We were sorry that the Wagon & Horses no longer had their fabulous fish pie on the menu. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Nice food, great service. Portions could have been a bit larger for the price but quality well up to standard.

Food was nice, great real ale selection and nice surroundings. Only reason it was not a 6 was service was a little slow (though it was as busy) and the change to a themed menu did not suit all tastes.

Food was excellent, the choices were also great. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. The 20 minute wait for dessert after ordering was the only down side - however the dessert was really good when it did arrive. Will definitely return.

Visiting our son from uni...read good reviews,enjoyed the meal,location,and atmosphere.Wife is gluten free,which wasn't a problem,highly recommend.

We visited this pub following my sons graduation and had a fantastic time with great food, friendly service and good surroundings. We'll be back!

I revisited the Wagon and Horses for a meet up with relatives, including my disabled 91 year old uncle who finds the premises easy to use. The service and food could not have been better. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and quiet enough to talk with the music on at a good level, not too loud. The waiter was very polite and helpful.

Lovely food Sunday roast delicious. Wine very good. Deserts yum. Well worth a visit.

Great place food excellent Best in Lancaster and surrounding area

Food was original and very good. Disappointing that, As my wife was feeling unwell, we had to leave so paid the bill without checking, only to see later that drinks had been included which we had not had. Lesson learnt !
