About Yara - Alderley Edge
Residents of the leafy Cheshire town of Alderley Edge as well as gourmets from Wilmslow and as far afield as Manchester know and love Yara as specialists when it comes to Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. Yara’s Alderley Edge restaurant is a two-storied affair, set in handsome brick premises down London Road, the main drag towards the northern edge of town and the station. This convenient location makes it an easy hike from Wilmslow, for instance, not that a hike should be much trouble considering Yara’s reputation for delivering stunning examples of Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. The classic Middle Eastern culinary format is followed to a tee, with the menu offering hot and cold starters designed to get diners breaking bread and sharing with each other before the mains arrive.
And the main event is indeed lavish, with a wide range of kebabs and charcoal-grilled meats and vegetable-based dishes best accompanied by a selection of side dishes such as the spiced lentil and rice dish of mujadara. Alderley Edge locals with a taste for the Cheshire countryside that want to spice up things a little are advised to go for the rustic, mouth-watering lamb chops given a Mediterranean treatment, while the runner beans and lamb delicacy of fasoulieh or the aubergine and courgette tabakh rawhou offer an introduction to classics of Arabic culinary tradition. Attracting a regular crowd of locals as well as intrepid diners from Wilmslow, Macclesfield and across Greater Manchester, reservations are strongly recommended.
Excellent food and service. Good value as they allow you to bring your own wine. Good ambience and a mixture of varying age groups and party sizes
Food was really amazing and the service was brilliant will go again. The bill wasn't over expensive either. Also they corked our wine too. Nipped into tescos next door to buy the wine. Perfect night.
As we were a large party we had the set menu, which was fantastic, every dish was Delicious and everyone on the party enjoyed it. The service from the waiters was faultless. I've have also been to the Altrincham restaurant which is equally as good. Will defiantly go again. Cant recommend enough

Food was amazing & they accommodated an extra guest at the last minute without any problems. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff and added bonus that you can take your own alcohol if you want to!
Excellent food and value for money , great service good location would recommend to all visited Saturday and even though very busy the service and standards were excellent
I go to Yara fairly regularly, with friends and also with family, it is very good value for money and love that we can take our own wine
We had a very pleasant evening. Most of the meal was very good and the fact that we could take our own wine keeps the cost down.
Lovely place. Reasonably priced. Outstanding service. Bonus you can take your own alcohol. Good choice on the menu. Good sized portions. Very clean and nice decor
Food was very tasty, we had a selection of starters. Great that you can take your own wine. Staff very attentive/friendly. Would definitely visit again
Firstly I have to say the staff were really nice.. But, the main courses were over priced and the lamb didn't taste like lamb, the chips were like McDonald's fries ..just very disappointed.
