Great food, lovely pub, all staff was very polite and helpful
Fantastic carvary. Excellent value for money. Good atmosphere, although some background music from the private party.
A fabulous place to eat! Lots of choice. Loved the homely aspect of the restaurant and first time at an aga carvery, will definitely return and recommend!
This is our favourite place for a carvery. We live in Dudley and its always worth the trip. The food is always fresh and I have never seen it messy at the counter. We have visited on a week evening when it can be quieter but the staff and food are still of high quality. I would recommend that you book before you go to avoid disappointment. The only thing I would say as a negative is the soft drinks are quite expensive as the come from the bottle.
Beautiful food well worth a visit highly recommend plenty of parking staff really friendly would definitely visit again maybe on a week day to try the menu rather than carvery
Best carvery I've ever been to! The garlic potatoes are out of this world. Delicious puddings. Friendly staff! Also beautiful surroundings and landscape. Lovely to sit outside with a drink after our meal.
We had a lovely meal in a very sociable comfortable setting. The food and service was excellent, very attentive and well looked after on a busy evening.
First visit here to celebrate hubby’s birthday following recommendation from friends and family. Wow the carvery is the best I’ve ever tasted! Just like a Christmas dinner standard! I really couldn’t fault the food, atmosphere or staff, it was just perfect. We will certainly be back 😊
Lovely restaurant and excellent food. A good range of different meats on offer. The staff are very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit
Food was lovely however overall experience was floored by a couple of things. Req wine list which they couldn't find initially. Once choice made they couldn't find wine and then said wines had changed and I could choose a red house wine of which they didn't know what they were. Gave up and had a coke! Finally they forgot my coffee which I ordered with dessert.
lovely carvery, good choice of meat and veg will return.
Another fantastic carvery at the Punchbowl. Three course valentine meal with a bottle of wine £19.99 per person. The best aga carvery i’ve ever had.
The Ye Olde punchbowl country inn is in a lovely location it offers excellent food and service that is value for money for a mid week meal. staff very friendly
Lovely atmosphere. Excellent carvery food at reasonable price. Plenty of choice in both meat and vegetables. Helpful, friendly staff. Will definitely return in the future
The Punchbowl Inn never disappoints, the best selection anywhere of both meats and vegetables on the carvery. Staff are very welcoming and give good service.
Beautiful place, great food, great staff, great views, and great atmosphere. Getting married here next year and we both fall in love with the place more and more with each visit.
great food cooked in an aga, nice atmosphere, friendly staff & all set in a traditional old coaching inn, we had a very enjoyable dining experance, perfect!
Food was hot and plentiful, lovely environment. Drinks as with anywhere now a days a little pricey but cannot fault the food. Staff nice and friendly.
Arrived with quick service , taken right to our table by the waiter was who was very Friendly, the restaurant has a homely feel and most of all a Superb carvery , will return
The best Carvery I have ever tasted. The three courses is such great value. I would recommend this place and it’s sister pub to any one.
There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff and great food. The carvery has a fabulous range of vegetables and the meat was very tender and tasty.
excellent service and carvery was value for money with a good choice of meats and lovely fresh vegatables definitely recommend and will be going back again soon
The pub had a warm and cosy feel to it and the food was of excellent quality. We had the a la carte menu and were advised that there would be a wait as the food would be prepared to order. We didn't have an unreasonably long wait and with a nice wine to drink and plenty to talk about the time passed quickly enough. We will certainly come back again.
lovely carvery, fresh veg with good choice, some of the best parsnips i have eaten Meat cooked to perfection with plenty of choice .Friendly staff nice place to visit any time of year
It's the best carvery around - go try it and you won't regret it. The staff are friendly and a lovely atmosphere. The baileys cheesecake is a winner!
Great choice of meat at the carvery, with many vegetables and extras available. It just amazes me how many pigs there are around pilling a mountain on their plates, no wonder we have an obesity issue!
Always great food and great service, would recommend for a fab carvers
Best carvery that I have ever had-All 4 of us cleared our plates. I had the Turkey and Beef with was lean and flavorsome. Others reported the gammon and lamb were the same. Gravy also top notch. Dauphinois potato's were a revelation. We had two desserts which were also very good. 4 heaped carvery plates, 2 desserts and 7 drinks £78-Wow
Lovely food from the carvery as usual, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, but we were a bit rushed at the end as they were closing 3pm.
We had a great meal today. Lots of choice and excellent quality. Let down slightly by the real ale selection and music became a bit too much like a night club towards the end of our meal. However would highly recommend excellent value and quality meal
We always have an excellent meal and wonderful service. Two of our table turned up late and were still accommodated and served at the same time. It’s our favourite place to eat...cosy welcoming atmosphere, lovely food...what more is there to say
First visit to the Punch Bowl. Visited on a Tuesday evening and there was an offer available for either two or three courses. Great value for money and extremely efficient friendly staff.
If you want a carvery with a good choice of meat and vegetables this is a great place. Very friendly chef. Staff friendly and efficient. I posted a criticism on my last visit but said it would not stop us going again and sure enough this visit was just a week later.
Excellent value for money, nice atmosphere, warm and cosy, good food and a big pot of good quality tea, just the ticket for a cold January day.
Meat was excellent quality. Best carvery I have ever had.
Fabulous food as always with a great choice of vegetables. Only criticism was I ordered a cheesecake for dessert but it took so long coming we had to leave before it arrived. Staff were extremely apologetic explaining that they were very busy in the kitchen. Not a big issue and it won't stop us going again.
Great carvery.Great choice and cooked to perfection. The Punchbowl is always our first choice when we fancy a carvery.Slightly more expensive than your average carvery but not many offer a choice of five meats and unlimited Yorkies and seasoning so well worth paying the extra few pounds.
Lovely food, plently of choice and lovely hearty food. Great turn round. Staff attentive. Great prices, cheap but not bad quality. Great choices of meat.
Great carvery lovely meat and great tasting vegetables everything piping hot, great service too, well worth the money will be back again very soon thank you
Lovely meal , great choice of meat and veg on the carvery and great desserts such as Baileys cheesecake, fruit crumble and chocolate brownie, definitely would book again
