Terrible seating by table 13 with dirty window sills and grubby placemats. Roast potatoes were rubbery and the meat was dry. This was for a 50th birthday what a very sad experience.

Awful service, starter was really disappointing, chairs falling apart, warm bottled beer. Not a quality night out. Won't be returning or recommending. No wonder it was practically empty on a Friday night.

Our initial view was a negative one as we found out upon arrival that the menu online us different to that on offer at the venue. This would normally not be a problem, but we chose the location due to a vegetarian option that was not now available. We were about to leave but the member of staff who greeted us quickly offered an alternative that was available via the carvery. Three minutes later we had ordered and collected our food. It was tasty (if not that hot) and with a dessert, great value. A really nice venue with nice food. One slight critique I would add us rat the staff did nit look that smart. Sorry guys but first impressions count! 😊

Good food, one of the best carveries I've been to and a good advertisement as to why they should return. Staff could be more attentive. However, I will definitely return.

Great food, carvery exceptional, very nice cosy atmosphere, great staff, good value for money, will definitely be going back. The building is really olde and beautiful with loverly areas outside for summer days out. Couldn't fault really, although we thought the deserts were a little expensive, in comparison to the other courses. But a must visit if you haven't been yet.

The carvery has got to be the best we've had, the meat and vegetables really had flavour, the deserts although not too many to choose from were fantastic, would recommend

The carvery was very good, all home cooked. The service left a little to be desired. We had a reservation for 10 at 4pm and at 4.10pm the waitress quite abruptly informed us that they were taking the carvery away in 10mins in other words 'get a move on'. Not what you want, to be rushed when having a family catch up over Sunday dinner! And lastly the sweets where very dissappointing definitely not worth £5 each, very small portions and quite basic, funnily enough when we were choosing our desserts a lady who was leaving told us we would be dissappointed with the dessert, we should of listened! We have been here a few times now and will go back again as it is well worth a visit for the carvery as it is an excellent roast dinner.

Great food, good price, good service. Great location, only 5 minutes out of town. Bit of confusion with menu pricing but other than that a great place for a great meal. Nine of us had the carvery and were all really full. No one could complain about the portions.

Good food with delicious melt in the mouth meats. Sticky toffee pudding disappointing. Not much toffee taste or sauce. Confusing entrance into where people are sitting eating and no signage of which direction to take to find bar or toilets.

The food is lovely here, good choice and they always give plenty on the carvery if you like more meat. It is in a nice location, big car park, clean and you can sit in the garden and admire the views.

Surroundings clean & well furnished. Food choice excellent, quality excellent. Staff very attentive. We two ate and drank well for less than £30 Quandoo reported limited availability but that was totally misleading as the Punchbowl was very quiet with plenty of spaces for more customers on the Saturday lunchtime we dined.

The lunchtime carvery was excellent, the welcome and the service also. We and the friends with us have yet to find a carvery to beat the the Old Punch Bowl and we have visited quite a few around our area of the borders of Worcestershire, Shropshire and the Black Country.

Love this pub and the AGA cooked roasts are very good with wide selection of vegetables. I'm not local so have to plan ahead and book Sunday lunch as very popular; wish it was nearer.

Great value , excellent meats - tender and tasty as always. Have visited many times and it has always been consistent, only reservation is that bargain sweets of the day rarely include those I prefer - fruit pie or crumble.

I was looking for a pub for a business lunch on a Monday in the area and came across Ye Olde Punchbowl Inn. It's a great place, easy to find and the carvery is impressive. We will definitely return.

Ours was one of the last lunchtime carvery sittings with a table for 5 booked for 1:30, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. Normally the food is second to none but they only had a few off cuts of turkey left than a trainee tried to serve with the skin and gristle and about a dozen roast potatoes that must have been under the warming lamps for ages as they were tough and tasteless. The birthday-boy in our party wanted the "summer fruit crumble" for dessert which was heavy on fruit and not a lot of crumble. We did ask for a little time after lunch before they brought in the desserts but they arrived shortly after ordering so I cannot help but get the feeling they were trying to get rid of us so they could prepare for a wedding party that was due. Being typically English I didn't want to make a fuss at the time but after a while I felt I must warn other potential diners about the risks of late lunchtime Saturday sittings. On the plus side the Pork was very nice which was fine for me but our teenage daughter will only eat turkey so we had a grumpy 16 year old for the trip back to Stourbridge.

The food was very good and bar/ordering service was efficient but we waited a very long time for our desserts. This was disappointing given the fact that the restaurant was not busy.

Went on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Car parking spaces were small and limited. We managed to Park but on coming out there was a line of cars waiting to park, it was a struggle to leave the premises. However the food was self service, you are shown to your seat then you have to pay for any food and drinks at the bar then hand over your ticket to the Carvery staff. Food was fresh and tastey. The price was good for Sunday lunch at £9.95. We will try midweek next time as it was far too crowded on a Sunday.
