About Zing & Zest

Situated in the town centre, Zing and Zest is Ashton-under-Lyne’s most popular Indian restaurant, with its vibrant modern decor and its authentic Indian cuisine fusing together an array of flavours. For starters, why not share the mixed platter? A combination of chicken tikka, lamb chops, lamb namkeen boti and garlic chicken. Then tuck into a tandoori speciality or a tasty Indian curry. We recommend the Oriental fusion duck (duck breast barbequed in the tandoor and then cooked with chilli, onions and capsicum in a sweet chilli sauce) and the chingri sag (whole king prawns cooked with five spices and served in a hot wok on a bed of curried spinach). Whether you’re a meat lover or a veggie, you’ll find plenty of options on the extensive menu at Zing and Zest – book a table and hotfoot it over to Oldham Road!

We had a lovely evening at Zing and Zest. Staff were attentive and the food was good and is fairly priced. However, the smell of the ladies loo is reminiscent of a sewerage plant!
