The closest to a home cooked Sunday lunch I have ever had in a restaurant. I would certainly eat there again. My only misgiving is that service was a little slow and an additional staff member would have made a difference.

Good food and service but the restaurant is looking very jaded and really needs some money spending on it- nice to go to an independent restaurant with so many chains in the areas but they really need to sort the decor.

Excellent meal and staff as usual. I have been dining here for about 10 years and it has always been firsr class It is the best restaurant in Bournemouth

The food was amazing. Both the steak and the lamb were cooked to perfection. Very attentive staff. The only downside was no ice cream on the desert menu.

Hi it was great, food lovely, atmosphere great, would have got a six out of six, only let down was we were not offered any puddings, overall great night.

We got engaged today and the staff couldn't be more amazing! Absolutely fabulous food, staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will be telling family who live locally to come here.

Food was lovely. The lamb was cooked perfect and potatoes were really nice with sweet potatoe in. Service was very good too lovely mwal well be back.

Went here for Sunday lunch with love acoustic music. Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Would definately recommend. Shame the restaurant looks so dated, didn't expect the food to be as amazing as it was.

Our first visit to this restaurant but could not fault the food and service. Four of us visited and had different starters and mains which we all loved. Our deserts were lovely, crumbles and the Grand Marmier panda cotta was absolutely delicious! Cheese board also perfect to end the meal. We will be returning to the restaurant and can so easily recommend. Cost £153 for four without wine and brandy which is a personal choice but it was a birthday celebration so we did push the boat out!! Lovely evening.

Really warm welcome. Lovely hostess/waitress. The Sunday roast was enourmous and freshly prepared to order. Nice environment (with a Gin bar!), and subtle acoustic live music from the bar adjoining the restaurant. We come to the BIC every summer for an event and will absolutely bring all our staff back to 1812 for lunch again.

The food was presented very well and tasted exquisite. The cocktails were half price between 5-7pm. The restaurant was small and intimate and the waiters and waitresses were attentive and polite. I would recommend this restaurant every time.

Lovely food, excellent customer service, great cocktails, and a great atmosphere. There is a little noise from bar next door but this was fine for my group. I would recommend this place to anyone!

As always the food was superb, extremely tasty, well presented and just the right portion size. The service was excellent, the staff were attentive without being intrusive. I would thoroughly recommend 1812 to anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal.

Very friendly and helpful staff in both the bar and the restaurant. Food was good and there was a very good pre-show offer available that was worth it.

Took the husband for dinner for his birthday. We were greeted and seated by a very friendly Maitre'd who gave us a complimentary Prosecco. The waitress gave us plenty of time to study the menu and was attentive but left us to enjoy our meal. We both opted for the seared scallop starter, which I can honestly say, was the most flavoursome scallops I have ever had. A great combination of flavours and textures. We then both had the sirloin steak. This was a large plate of food and not the best quality meat (would have preferred fillet on the menu) but that said, again, the flavours and seasoning was exceptional. My only other issue was the 'triple' cooked chips were slightly underdone. We didn't have room for pudding. Great, bustling atmosphere in the restaurant even though it wasn't packed, then into the bar for the band and drinks. All in all, a really great evening.

Lovely restaurant, staff were friendly, Food was lovely and thought value for money, at the time a band was playing live music which you could hear whilst eating and chatting. Would definitely go back to eat and drink and stay in the bar after

We had a lovely time (as usual). The event had been booked as it was a triple birthday celebration, so plenty of cocktails were bought that evening. Thank you again - and the bar staff are amazing - very attentive and plenty of them available at all times - nice to see.

Excellent food and excellent service. Would recommend highly! I had the mussels which were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. For main me and my partner had the lamb which was cooked just right and had so many different flavours!

Restaurant perhaps a little tired on the decor front but the service and food quality is excellent. Reasonable value for money for the quality of food.

The restaurant itself felt and looked dated but clean overall. My cutlery was dirty so I switched it with the table next to us. Waiter was ok. Food was average with not much flavour. I wouldn't go there again.

Amazing experience, went for a Christmas meal out with my girlfriend and we loved 1812! The food was lovely, the service was excellent and we had the perfect night. Very good food for the money, yes it's quite expensive but definitely worth it for a good night out, looking at going back soon! Can't wait to eat here again!

There wasn't an option to give a zero rating but this ranks among the worst meals I've ever eaten. The seafood pasta was drowning an inch deep in olive oil. It was like a disgusting soup, leaving my mouth coated in oil and unable to taste anything after a couple of mouthfuls. Avoid.

Fantastic meal, 3 courses for £15 Monday to Wednesday. You won't get better at that price. Grab a cocktail as well. Great service as well!

Amazing as always. We go here multiple times a year. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. We intend to come back here until we're old and grey.

Great customer service. Tables positioned not too close. Couldn't hear any noise from the bar. We had a 3 course meal and every part was a really high standard. We would definitely return.

The three course meal was delicious. The waitress was exceptionally knowledgable about wine and assisted in making an excellent choice to go with the food.

The food was very good well presented. The service provided was of a good standard not overly intrusive! Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will visit again if in the area in the future
