4500 Miles From Delhi - Bristol

The Starter was good and the mains were ok, personally the food was bland and the lamb was a bit tough. We found the waitress rude when we asked her to change our plate as it was abit dirty. The service overall was not great.

While the food was ok it was expensive. The service was rushed and confused about who ordered what. When we checked the bill after there were items we hadn't ordered and on talking to the manager were refused a refund for those items. They did offer us some free drink (for 2 people) if we were to return for another meal but I'm not sure many of party of 21 I took there would want to go back. It's shame as it could have been so much better.

Four-Course Indian Lunch for Two or Four at 4500 Miles to Delhi ---Very welcoming with excellent service. lovely flavours and very well presented. Just the right quantity for 4 ladies in their sixties out for lunch.

Starter was fantastic (sizzler for 2), main however let it down, the North Indian garlic chilli chicken tasted of neither garlic or chilli, tasted fruity and sweet, suspect that I may have been given the wrong curry? Wouldn't have it again, should have stuck to a Madras

Restaurant was very busy with a number of large parties in as you would expect close to Christmas. Service was pretty good given the number of diners, the atmosphere was good and the food was excellent as ever

Food was lovely, restaurant was great. Only problem was we booked a table at ten and felt the whole experience was rushed, from being greeted, to orders being taken, to eating and paying. The restaurant didn't close until 11.30 but we felt under pressure to finish our meals and leave. This tainted what could have been a lovely meal.

Hopeless and overpriced desi food. Lamb was not fresh and not tender at all. Chicken dishes were so so as well. I don't recommend this resturant to anyone.

The restaurant is situated in a great location and well laid out. Overall my experience was enjoyable and the food was very good. The naan breads were oily and the poppadoms very expensive. The onion sauce with the poppadoms was exceptional as was the rest of the food.

Service was very slow due to the number of Christmas Parties. When the food did arrive the order was not complete. The food was excellent, it was just the service was dissapointing on this occasion.

Very average, it wasn't inexpensive and I hoped for quality food. I chose a chicken patia which is on of the options I usually go for and I could have done better myself at home by opening a jar of Ragu mixing some Pataks paste and a sliced chili.

An impressive looking restaurant, however the food and service were not as good as we expected. Even the extortionately priced poppadoms were a dissapointment. We will not be returning

very warm clean place food was nice and hot , pleasant staff , would like to visit again, my friends loved the menu enjoyed the different variety of curry and rice dishes

Had the four course lunch which was more of a 'taster' meal to share. Excellent food and enough for two. Restaurant caters for large parties as well as for couples. Would recommend.

I have been many times as a visitor to Bristol. Always excellent service and quality of food. Nice atmosphere although next time I would ask for a table away from the bar and takeaway pick up point which detracts from the intimate restaurant feel. Highly recommended (cheese and chilli naan always a favourite of mine). I usually book a table as my visit here is the main meal of my stay.

Lovely venue, friendly, courteous staff, authentic food which was well-presented. Time given between courses was good, all food cooked -not microwaved or warmed. Highly recommend & will book again.

The restaurant was very well decorated however the food was only mediocre ,My wife is vegetarian and we went for the lunch menu ,no attempt to accommodate her eating habits was made & consequently the had proportionately less to eat than me !

Very nice surroundings, polite staff, food very enjoyable and tasty. However- We had the lunch banquet but unfortunately the food got cold very quickly due to no hot plate provided and the terrible draught from the front door being constantly opened. Would use again and recommend but sit elsewhere.

Lovely food in a vibrant and busy restaurant on a Saturday night. All very tasty, slightly slow serving but then the place was full and we were one of a number of big groups. Food came quickly once we'd ordered, and was super tasty.

Excellent food, full menu choice for the lunch time which was well recieved. Massive choice of dishes, went for the madras which was very good. Will be coming back.

The lunchtime banquet was superb, with lots of tastes and variety. Faultless service and both the restaurant and toilets were spotless. Would recommend to anyone - as long as they are not on a strict diet.

Can't rate this place highly enough. Great food and great service in pleasant surroundings. well positioned in central Bristol too, near to lots of places to drink.

Fantastic place, great atmosphere, superb view and the staff were very accomodating. A few of us asked for items that wern't on the menu and the staff offered to make it without even hesitating. Couldn't fault the food, it was delicious and came out really quickly. I would definitely recommend.

Food was brill - would thoroughly recommend... plenty of choice, nice staff, nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again as good for lunchtime or evening meal.

Excellent food, service a bit haphazard and rushed. We were in and out within an hour. Extensive menu, with lots of unusual Indian dishes, so will certainly go again to try those out.

This restaurant is a regular company entertaining venue for our company due to the great food and service every time. Always flexible if we are a little late arriving.

No problem with us arriving late and had our table waiting. Excellent food and good service. Not rushed and the timing between courses was just right. Definitely return.

We went on a Monday evening before a gig as a small group of 5 so was expecting it to be fairly quiet which it was however there was nice lively atmosphere about the place. The best thing though is unquestionably the food. We all had different dishes and everything was exceptional great presentation, service and taste. I've eaten at countless Indian restaurants and this was without question the nicest curry I've ever had. If you've already heard plaudits about 4500 Miles then rest assured they are well deserved. Fully recommend.

Although the food was nice, we felt we were in a fast food restaurant as everything was rushed. The whole experience lasted 45 mins, so won't be in a hurry to return.

Service was good, towards the end it was a bit slow as we didn't get the bill after asking for about 10 minutes. But apart from that the would was superb, we had a nice seat by the window and could watch Bristol go by. Would recommend.

An average experience. Was better in the past when buffet system was there. This is not highly recommended as the quantity of food provided for 2 adults in this banquet is not enough I would say. Taste is Ok, the only consolation. Hope this helps.

Perfect service from friendly and customer focused staff. Really good food with a full vegitarian menu available and very resonably priced wine list. I can not recomend this gem too highly.

Very interesting range of dishes, that were well presented and tasted delicious. Rather like a 'Taster Menu', two vouchers shared between 4 people resulted in 4 well fed diners! Quiet and courteous service in elegant surroundings - happy to recommend this restaurant to discerning diners.

Sunday lunch 'Indian Banquet' was very good and staff pleasant. This was a Groupon Meal Deal and excellent value for money. Would go back again.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Great food and generous portions. Lovely evening for my psrtbers 40th birthday celebration. Food was delivered to the table swiftly but not rushed and there were no delays between courses. Definitely will go again.

Always a lovely meal- great staff, great atmosphere, always impressed. My favourite place to eat in Bristol by far. Genuinely deserves success every effort is made to accommodate and make every customer feel welcome. Love it!
