Aegean Restaurant

Was our first visit and it was an absolute pleasure. Served by the most perfect host and we enjoyed some really wholesome & tasty food. Wonderful hospitality & we're simply gutted that it closes tomorrow, just when we found such a great place. Many thanks for a really enjoyable evening.

We had a selection of dips and mezze items. On the whole, the food was very nice. Could have been slightly warmer. But generally tasty.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past few years and the food is always delicious. It is great value for money and the staff are always friendly.

Superb restaurant. If you want traditional Greek food this is the place to eat. We had the tzatziki for starter, I will no longer be eating supermarket bought . We followed this with keftico (lamb) this was to die for. The service is spot on. Forget the local pub the food is better and better value for money.

My party of seven had an excellent time at this lovely restaurant. The food is top notch, nice music playing in the background at a sensible volume and a good selection of drinks. However, what really makes the evening special is the wonderful personal service we get from the owner, Lefteris. It's quite obvious this gentleman isn't in business purely to make money. The pride he has in his restaurant, and his native country, is obvious to all. He gives every single customer the same great service, has a laugh and a joke with most of them and you come away feeling that he really did appreciate your custom. If you want to try some Greek hospitality in the capital of Wales, I can't think of anywhere better to go! Oh, and the kleftico - wonderful! Thanks, Lefteris, for making our evening special and cooking fish just for my wife!. We'll see you again soon. Merry Christmas!

Quite nice ambience, wasn’t too full when we went, but everyone was sat close together. The low rating comes from the fact that even though we were there early Friday evening we were told that two of the vegetarian dishes on the menu had already sold out, not leaving much choice at all. Would have hoped that everything on the menu would have been available. Service was okay Give it a go if you want to try Greek food. But sadly we won’t be going back

The food is fantastic, the amount of food you get for your money is great and it all tastes delicious. The restaurant is traditionally Greek and super super clean! The owner / chef / waiter is really welcoming and personable. Can’t recommend highly enough

Good venue and good service by the waiting staff. Food okay but we thought that the main course of lamb souvlaki was quite small for the price.

Excellent service and fabulous food in an authentic atmosphere, we will return soon to the delights of the Aegean. Very reasonable prices and a super desserts menu !

Really nice meal and great value for money. Especially if you have the meze which is a little taste of everything (but not that little!). They have new look menus too which are nice.

Great food, great atmosphere. Could actually hear each other across the table without loud music playing. Music was played in the background but quietly. Will definitiely be there again

Very disappointed. No atmosphere. Stifado meat not tender. Souvllaki chicken and beef dry with no flavour. Expensive for tasteless food. House white was perfectly acceptable.

The Aegean restaurant is an absolutely beautiful restaurant, the food is delicious and the staff are amazing. The owner is a wonderful man that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend this restaurant

great little restaurant my wife and I both had the kleftiko which was delicious. the Ageon is clean and well presented the chef came out to ask if we enjoyed our meal which was a nice touch and even gave us a free drink with our bill

Great food with a relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff. As a couple, we ordered courgette patties, dolmedes, staphado and kleftiko, all of which were delicious.

Always welcoming and amazing food. We have been many times and always enjoy it. The staff are wonderful and make every effort for your evening to be an enjoyable one, which I must say they do very well.

Food was great and portion sizes were spot on! Proper Greek food. Service was good and staff were really friendly. We would definitely go back again.

The food was really nice the service was slow and it wasn't busy at all so if it had been busy not sure how long we would have waited. Good food though.

Second visit and the food didn’t disappoint. Staff give you space to decide but are ready to assist if needed. Will go back to again !

On arrival to the restaurant the waitress was rude and hostile. We asked if there was a table not by the door as it was so cold, she replied there were none, despite there obviously being spare tables. In general we felt very unwelcome and undervalued as customers. We chose to leave without eating there so cannot comment on the food.

As always, outstanding service and delicious food. We both ordered the Greek Village Sausage and Seafood Platter, and they did not disappoint. Lefteris was "the host with the most", and worked hard to ensure we were happy. A fantastic experience all round.

Nice restaurant with great atmosphere and good authentic Greek food. We went for st Valentine ‘s day and tried their menu with 8 different small dishes and they were all lovely.

Had an enjoyable Valentines meal at the Aegean. Liked the set menu idea and being able to choose 8 meals to share was a good way of trying something new as well as having lots of favourites. the portion sizes looked small but were clearly well planned as it was more than enough food for both of us. The live music was a nice touch as well.

Valentine only menu available This was apparently made clear in web site so if we missed it can’t blame resteraunt . However attitude of waitress left much to be desired. Very unwelcoming. Would not consider a request to move tables to a warmer part of the room and terse when exposing limits of valentine menu.

Food was delicious & service was great. Only criticism; although we pre ordered our meals the desserts were not available. Gentle background music was missing.

We thought we’d try something different and we were pleasantly surprised. Lovely food in a lovely setting. Thoroughly enjoyed and can’t wait to go back.
