Our time at Alma de Cuba was superb! Though we went there for the Sunday Gospel and we couldn't really see it from our table ...pity!

Amazing roast dinner and service was second to none. We had a wait for the food but this wasn't an issue as we were enjoying the gospel choir and glass of red wine.. BUT the gesture from the manager because of the wait was totally unexpected and extremely generous. We will be back.

Our 3rd visit here and we won't been visiting again. The meal was nice but overpriced. The building is being renovated and altered and upheaval is to be expected. However, I did not expect to be shouting at my companions because the music was so loud. When you go out for a meal with friends you want to be able to have a conversation without shouting. The place has lost its ambiance and I doubt it will get it back after the alterations!

We love the atmosphere at this wonderful restaurant/bar, which was converted from a church and retains many of the original features. The food was superb, full of flavour and expertly cooked and presented. No need for a starter, but the desserts were just what was needed to round off a perfect evening.

Went for the gospel brunch. Wonderful atmosphere! My partner and I ate the gorgeous roast beef before moving downstairs to enjoy the gospel choir. Really delicious! Chilli chocolate brownie was lovely too. Had a couple of fabulous cocktails. All in all a fab last day for our trip up north!

Great environment, excellent service but average food for the price, you pay for the experience rather than the dining cuisine.

Food was good, but the service was terrible. We waited for 45 minutes to get drinks, which was served after the food had arrived and only when we pointed it out to the waiter. The manager came and apologized, but blaming it on being busy, when the restaurant was not even half full sounded hollow. Just admit your waiter did a terrible job. The manager did reduce the bill to compensate.

Staff wonderful, ambiance fantastic gospel singers were great ....if I have one small area to feedback on is that the veg was hard and we saw quite a few plates with a lot of the veg going back but otherwise the food was very nice .

Every time me and my partner visit Alma De Cuba we have a unbelievable time. We visited on the Friday and Sunday and was lucky enough to see the Gospel Choir on Sunday. Sunday lunch with amazing cocktails listening to a choir, doesn’t get better than this.

The food was great as always. I had scallops to start and then the lamb for my main. The atmosphere was very nice, at least until a large group (hen party?) showed up in the bar area downstairs and started "singing" (shouting) Cher lyrics at the top of their voices!

Fun. Entertaining. Live dancing. It was what I needed to celebrate the evening. Will do it again with more drinks and laughter. It's a good sign when you see people kicking off their shoes and singing along.

Food average and small portions - not good value for money . Gospel Choir amazing as was the building. Lots of staff constantly walking up and down past table which wasn't great, especially as it wasn't that busy.

Food was cold and over cooked. Service only adequate. Menu very limited. Has gone downhill since I visited last year. Won’t be back and would not recommend to anyone visiting the city. Very disappointed as I had taken friends with me who had not been before.

It was my 1st visit to the restaurant. We went for my sisters birthday. I thought the surrounding decor was relaxing the menu had good choices to select from. We didn't wait long for our meals to come out, and it was delicious. I was impressed with the waiter service they were very attentive. I do have to mention that the music was very loud were we had to shout to each other to be heard. Really enjoyed ourselves

Nice surrounding, staff were friendly and good. Food was really nice and don't forget the cocktail! Weak point was the background music that, at times, was a bit invasive. But overall a really pleasant evening.

Great Saturday evening with friends old & new. Fabulous venue. We enjoyed our meal in the upstairs restaurant, the food was cooked to perfection , very tasty & well presented by the attentive waiting staff. Following our meal we enjoyed cocktails in the downstairs bar, then danced the night away until the small hours. Highly recommended.
