Great atmosphere more seasoning needed on food but overall enjoyed it. Very attentive service and good cocktails, good variety of options on the menu would go back
Great food! And lovely service, the waiters were so polite and accomadating! Would love to try the other menu as well as Sunday Lunch one too!
loved it abs brilliant gospel singers was amazing food lush booked again
Perfect in every way! The staff are attentive and the food amazing recommend the beef rump on a sunday! Also the gospel choir make a lovely experience ! Highly recommend
Great food but rather pricey. Didn’t appreciate having the bill loaded with a tip. That should’ve discretionary. Music was a little too loud, but it was St Patrick’s Day
Poor choice in food, didn’t have any of our choices. Seemed a nice place just a shame they didn’t let us know about the food at the
We had a really nice evening and the food was superb! We would definitely do it again. Loved the show that started around 11 o'clock.
Gospel choirs are the best accompaniement to a sunday roast dinner! The food was lovely and the waiters were great! Perfect for all ages and occasions.
A very busy afternoon at Alma De Cuba, despite a slight delay in the serving of the desserts this was made up for by the amazing Gospel Singers and a free Prosecco. The food as always was excellent.
Really cool venue-disappointed in variety in the menu, it wasn’t clear that the tapas wasn’t available in the evening and we weren’t able to choose other various things on the menu either. Quite pricey for food that wasn’t fantastic but overall a good experience and the food was tasty, if overpriced and not particularly refined.
Alma de Cuba has the potential to be one of the top restaurants in Liverpool but they let themselves down with the finer details. The food was good for most of our group but a few found their meals over-cooked, which took away from the overall experience. These were the chicken and the duck. I can, however, thoroughly recommend the pig cheeks, as they were sensational. The waiting staff were also very attentive when it came to refreshing our drinks but were no-where to be seen when we wanted to get more of the bottomless fries or salad. Again, this was disappointing.
The food was fantastic but the restaurant was far too hot, could have done with some air conditioning and the service was extremely slow. 2 hours for 2 courses, we abandoned dessert but we were compensated with a discount and an apology for forgetting to take our dessert order but with a toddler who was getting impatient, it was time to leave. There was a lot of glass on the floor in the bar area downstairs, again, not ideal when there were a lot of children there. As it was Mother's Day it was extremely busy which may have been the reason for the delay, but this should have been anticipated.
Excellent restaurant- good food, excellent service and the inside decor is amazing. We were there for Sunday brunch and the gospel singers were brilliant ....just go!
Excellent food beautiful place and staff really polite and friendly. Live music and where you are seated to eat, you look down on the bar and stage area. Would recommend Alma de Cuba to anyone, luved it
Perfect costumer service and all staff and food was amazing would highly recommended going to alma de cuba for a meal anyday couldnt knock it a bit
Lovely restaurant, shame about the rude aggressive staff ,who told us we have 5 minutes!!! Left on our table ,despite us just ordering drinks and there being lots of empty tables around us .The waiter arguing with my husband.I asked for the manager on five occasions.Who I went and found (who said keep hold of the table it wasn’t a problem!!! We paid our £250 bill and left ☹️ I can honestly say I’ve never ever been treated so badly in a restaurant by staff ,Very poor management who didn’t try and resolve the issues with us .NEVER AGAIN!!!
Very good fast efficient service. Food was excellent. Venue is stunning with a fantastic atmosphere to match such beautiful surroundings. Wouldn’t change a thing. Ten out of ten across all metrics.
What an amazing place! You have to give this place a try if you are in Liverpool. Food was lovely and the entertainment and atmos was incredible!
We had a lovely afternoon at alma de cuba. The staff were very attentive. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was delicious. I cant wait to go back again, i would definitely recommend .
Fantastic place, the service positive and good entertainment:) The starters came in 3 minutes, the maincourse took an hour and the food was average. One steak came well done when it should be medium.
Lovely place & food. Staff very pleasant, great Sunday afternoon. Atmosphere is great with the gospel singers. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a nice place to eat for that special occasion.
My wife and I thought lunch was 6/10 the food was not the highlight of our visit. The singers great, service very good. Atmosphere excellent. We will come back visit you again.
Lovely setting and the gospel singers were fab. Food was really nice although I had a roast which said carrot and swede but I did not get that on my plate. I didn’t say anything as I do not like to moan but this was disappointing as it’s my favourite veg.
It does not work for a family to enjoy a dinner above a disco. The food was good an the place very nice but all overshadowed by the noise.
Great atmosphere, good food and entertainment, will definitely be returning with friends
Went for sunday lunch. Fab place. Lovely food and staff. Excellent singers. Need to go back for a saturday night which looks great fun but sadly we live 150 miles away!
The gospel brunch is a must!! They even did a vegan roast for me and my mum!!
Great place, lovely atmosphere. Music can get a bit loud if you wanna chat, and maybe a bit pricey for a student haha. But would recommend to anybody !
As always, we found the Alma de Cuba a lovely experience. The place is beautiful, carries so much history, and the service and food is exceptional.
Great Sunday lunch perfectly cooked roast beef and Yorkshire pud. accompanied by beautiful gospel/soul choir. Great service and attentive staff.. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did.
Nice atmosphere but food was poor, have been numerous times before but won’t return to eat. Sunday roasts were very small and poorly cooked, starters bland. Have a drink and listen to the music instead of eating
Fantastic experience....food service and Gospel choir all amazing! Sunday Roasts were perfect and we moved downstairs after to have a cocktail as we didn’t want to miss any of the fabulous gospel choir.
Great atmosphere in a lovely converted church. An unusual and different restaurant. It was rather quiet when we ate there on a Wednesday night in February but we had a very nice meal, attentive service and a free Birthday Cocktail which was a welcome surprise. Overall very good.
Afternoon tea was the best, great atmosphere, good food, great dancers , loved it, would definitely recommend, good value for money can’t wait to do it again x
Samba afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco....fantastic afternoon with friends, The dancers were excellent. Afternoon tea itself was average and their was no explanation what was on the sandwiches. The value was in watching the dancers and the atmosphere this created. If it was just on the tea, it was too expensive and I wouldn’t go back.
A Great meal and the service was great also and provided by very friendly staff. Would highly recommend if your in Liverpool for a good night out.
The overall experience was very good. Staff were lovely and entertainment was great. The only reason I wouldn’t rate the whole experience 5 is due to the food being very average.
Good atmosphere and the food was nice. It was very busy and the petal show at 11pm is worth seeing. Will go back again in the future.
Lovely venue and great food. Downstairs was a little small for dancing but we had a great time. Large group up from London for a 30th
Lovely food and atmosphere. The service we received was second to none went for a friends 30th and it was perfect. Will definately be returning highly recommended
Overpriced awful food .. shame building is amazing and the Gospel Choir were great . Brunch menu was limited to three egg dishes. More like Sunday lunch
Had a lovely night with family would definitely recommend eating in the restaurant as you can keep your table as downstairs does get busy, great music & dancers kept our husbands quiet for ages, Food was nice, staff good, kept drinks topped up all night. Could do with better toilet facilities upstairs, there is only 1 ladies & 1 gents loo & both were in a bit of a unclean state but everything else was good.
Stunning interior of an old church, lovely food and then great cocktails to follow! Would be even better on a Friday or Saturday!!! Look forward to returning
Lovely setting . Great food . Staff very helpful . Very enjoyable evening all round . will be going again in the near future . xx
Always love bringing friends etc to this place the atmosphere is so different than anywhere else. The food is always good. Staff are excellent. Definitely recommend.
As it was valentines day there was a balloon, a real rose n prices go on the house. There was a lady singing on the stage sector who was really good. The food was excellent n the staff were attentive.
Portions were too small, other than that, food was great and a good atmosphere although the music could have been more Latin / Cuban. This would make the experience much better
A very disappointing visit . Slow service Over an hour wait between courses Dishes sent back three times due to cold or trips temperatures Server did his best to rectify
The service was great and done the best decoration with a cake for a birthday but roast mediocre. Worth a go though for the gospel singers
The food was very average this time...served on cold plates. The staff however were great...very attentive. We shared our feedback about the food whilst there which they handled very well.
