Great venue and lovely atmosphere however; the service was really poor. If you don’t mind asking for a wine menu, for them to take your drinks order and your own glasses then the service was friendly. Be sure to tell them how you want your red meat, luckily it came as I liked it and the hanging meat was lovely, however; the chicken was under done. Finally, had to chase someone for the bill then go to the counter myself. Didn’t mind the bill but needless to say I paid myself the service tip. I would go again because all the bad bits could be excellent on a different night and as I put above it really is a great venue and the atmosphere was good

Excellent meal. Wonderful cocktails and fantastic service. We had a glass of prosecco to start, 2 cocktails and 3 course dinner with a good choice- we too full to bother with the pudding. Good priced wines as well

The food is bad, the party is great. Surely the best party in Liverpool and the ambient is good people. I went 8 years ago and food was much better than now. Now is owful. But i recommend to go there to the meal to get place for party

First time dining at Alma de Cuba, having heard lots of good things I've wanted to go for a while. In the end the setting was great, good atmosphere and the cocktails we tried were nice. However, food was mixed. The starter of sticky honey chicken wings were nice but some of smallest chicken wings ive seen and debatable at the cost of £6.50. Unfortunately they had no spatchcock so my first choice of main was not available and instead opted for the hanging chicken, again was nice but portion size to cost is debatable in my personal opinion. The best course was dessert though, the salted caramel tart was amazing and definitely worth the cost. Overall Alma de Cuba is definitely worth coming to try for a nice meal but if you have a big appetite maybe order extra. Ill definitely be visiting again to hopefully try somethinh different and improve my opinion further

Evening / Day menus needs sorting, you can not order certain food items during certain times of the day, this causes confusion not only for customers but staff too. We where a group of four friends that sadly because of distance and work we only get to meet up a few times a year. We picked Alma De Cuba as my husbands cousin Soo did some of the interior design some years back, unfortunately the service was ropey, although the food was nice and we where given 4 glass,s of Prosecco and offered some money off the bill. In slight defence of Alma De Cuba it was a busy Sunday evening with most tables being in use for customers. I,d still go back and try again as its a wonderful building and as I said when the food did arrive it was nice.

Arrived 10 mins early and was seated straight away ... staff were very attentive, food came fast and was lovely .. sweet potato croquets were lovely as were the roast we ordered ! Only tiny fault it’s very dark inside and candle lit, which I love, but can make the menus hard to read !

This is a great restaurant. The layout in a converted church is magnificent. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. I went on a Sunday afternoon with my 12 year old grandson. He was amazed at the place and enjoyed the gospel singers. The cocktails are good, the food superb ( the key lime pie to die for). I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Lively restaurant, felt very modern and chic, also very friendly staff. Food was lovely although I felt the plate I received for the main was a bit small, but I did love it. Also the service was a bit slow as we had to wait a long time just to be able to order food and then it took over 20 minutes to wait for the bill after requesting it. We requested to pay by card machine to one of the waiters which I think forgot to get it as another ten minutes passed before another waiter asked if we needed assistance. All in all lively place, lovely food and staff but slow service at times.

very enjoyable experience, food good, very good atmosphere. beautiful surroundings, the gospel singers were excellent . very disappointed though that a service charge was added to my bill without me being asked if I was happy with this. I did not realise until I got home that the was the case. I do not mind tipping for good service but I would expect this would be my choice and should not be expected.

Wait over an hour for the main. Turned out we had been forgotten. So when a meal did arrive it was disappointing to find it was wrong. Also I was served a bog standard house white rather than the wine I requested twice. Oh nearly forgot. My husband offered me his steak knife to cut my poached egg on toast starter as the bread was so hard. The husbands chicken winger starter varied from stone cold to Luke warm to hot.

Absolutely brilliant might at probably the best bar we have been too. Food excellent, recommend the indoor bbq, cocktails to die for. All of the staff were brilliant, special mention to David P, Isabella and Abby who looked after us on the night. The bar staff were dressed up for Halloween and the voodoo show was amazing. The dancers went around the tables to get everyone to join. Top night, would thoroughly recommend 👍👍👍

Attended for a Birthday celebration after a glowing referral and wasn’t disappointed. Great service, lovely atmosphere and beautiful building. Will definitely be going back again. Loved the gospel singers which were fab. Not a place to head to if you’re looking for a quiet meal but we booked especially for the music.
