Beautiful restaurant with delightful and friendly service of delicious Greek food. Definitely worth a visit. The deli also offers a great range of products to take home.

What a great evening! Fantastic food, really friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely venue. It felt like a taste of authentic Greece in Leeds! We really enjoyed our meal and will visit again.

Lovely atmosphere and very friendly and helpful waitress. Tables a little close together though. Generous portions of tasty food which was good value. Need to remember to take your own wine. I will recommend it to friends.

Wonderful friendly staff, great food, BYOB made it a cheap night. Altogether our bill for 8 of us was £157 mainly using the early bird menu. I had the seafood starter with scallops, mussels and prawns - gorgeous - then had the spicy sausage main course,, followed by teh rice pudding dessert. All were great. So many other options I would have loved to have tried, another visit is definitely on the cards :-)

We have been here several times, never fails to impress. Excellent food and great service...very authentic Greek menu. I would thoroughly recommend it for lunch or an evening meal

Very impressed. Don't know why it's taken us so long to visit. However we have recently moved to the area so will definitely be back. Staff very friendly, service brilliant. The food is extremely good. We had the meat Mexer for two. Wil try the seafood one next time. Wonderful atmosphere and ambience. We went when it was snowing but as soon as we stepped inside we felt like we were in Greece. Would definitely recommend. Think we will become regulars

Absolutely brilliant restaurant. Amazing food every time and fantastically friendly service. I can't recommend Amalthea enough. Everything from the coffee to the baklava was gorgeous and the atmosphere is always lovely.

INCREDIBLE food and lovely friendly staff, great service all round! Highly recommend! Gorgeous setting and great atmosphere too, decor made you feel at home in Greece. Oh and the Greek doughnuts are a must try, out of this world!

Lovely food and atmosphere, beautiful restaurant. The waitresses were wonderful but service was slow due to a large party being in, this was a bit disappointing as we waited quite a while for our main course.

Food was lovely and the service was great. The ambience of the restaurant is very like a real taverna. We will be coming again soon.

Second time my husband and me have been and wasn’t disappointed. The food is fabulous. The service is excellent nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit.

We had a great meal with fabulous service from Georgia. Our mains were venison steak and moussaka, both excellent and very nice baklava and an unusual sort of tiramisu from Thessalonika for dessert.

Our meals were excellent, cooked to perfection and well presented. Portion sizes were ample. Service was relaxed and friendly. BYO is a plus. Altogether good value, although not cheap!

Excellent service and very authentic food but far too limited on the early bird menu ... especially with the competition of other local restaurants who offer cheaper early birds with very few restrictions.

An extensive menu with a huge array of dishes. Absolutely wonderful meal with exceptional service in a very pretty restaurant. A buzzing yet relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely return.

Everyone at the table loved their food. We shared a selection of starters, with the fried aubergine balls and perfectly cooked whitebait being standouts. Service is lovely and friendly.

Friends and family joining us here now extends to U.S. family, who rated their meal exceptional. They also loved the atmosphere and welcome when we arrived. A particular delight for me was soup with feta - fantastic, the fresh cheese just melting into the soup. Hope it's still a Special next time!

This was our third visit to this restaurant and we will certainly be going back for a fourth very soon. Such an ideal place for family meals.

Love this restaurant! What a calm relaxing atmosphere coupled with amazing food. So far everything we have tried on the menu has been very tasty, however we are now all stuck on the chicken souvlaki as it is just so good! :-)

Friendly, welcoming and nice food. Great for a group get together. Helpful staff put our drinks in the fridge to keep them cool and we had a lovely evening.

The restaurant is looking beautiful with the Christmas decorations adding to the already attractive Greek themed walls. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. With BYO wine this is an affordable treat not to be missed.

Great service. We enjoyed the Early Bird deal which had a reasonable selection of dishes to choose from. The Greek butter bean stew was delicious. Overall, a great local restaurant.

Authentic and extremely tasty with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with zero pressure from the staff. I don't suppose I could have felt more comfortable. Great!

Delicious food and attentive, friendly service. Taking our own wine was no problem and an ice bucket was provided immediately. Our first visit here and will definitely go again.

Lovely friendly service, creature of habit always order the hummus with extra pitta as soon as we're seated, which is delicious and then chat over our own wine before thinking what main to eat this time....?

We had another fab night at Amalthea - great atmoshere, vibrant place, amazing food, excellent service, great prices. We had the meat mezze - great way to taste a variety of dishes. Superb desserts!
