Amalthea Greek Cafe, Deli & Bistro

Excellent service and very authentic food but far too limited on the early bird menu ... especially with the competition of other local restaurants who offer cheaper early birds with very few restrictions.

An extensive menu with a huge array of dishes. Absolutely wonderful meal with exceptional service in a very pretty restaurant. A buzzing yet relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely return.

Everyone at the table loved their food. We shared a selection of starters, with the fried aubergine balls and perfectly cooked whitebait being standouts. Service is lovely and friendly.

Friends and family joining us here now extends to U.S. family, who rated their meal exceptional. They also loved the atmosphere and welcome when we arrived. A particular delight for me was soup with feta - fantastic, the fresh cheese just melting into the soup. Hope it's still a Special next time!

This was our third visit to this restaurant and we will certainly be going back for a fourth very soon. Such an ideal place for family meals.

Love this restaurant! What a calm relaxing atmosphere coupled with amazing food. So far everything we have tried on the menu has been very tasty, however we are now all stuck on the chicken souvlaki as it is just so good! :-)

Wonderful food, welcoming staff and a marvelous experience all round. Georgia could not have been any more welcoming and helpful and my Greek friend who came with me loved it too!

Friendly, welcoming and nice food. Great for a group get together. Helpful staff put our drinks in the fridge to keep them cool and we had a lovely evening.

The restaurant is looking beautiful with the Christmas decorations adding to the already attractive Greek themed walls. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. With BYO wine this is an affordable treat not to be missed.

Great service. We enjoyed the Early Bird deal which had a reasonable selection of dishes to choose from. The Greek butter bean stew was delicious. Overall, a great local restaurant.

Authentic and extremely tasty with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with zero pressure from the staff. I don't suppose I could have felt more comfortable. Great!

Delicious food and attentive, friendly service. Taking our own wine was no problem and an ice bucket was provided immediately. Our first visit here and will definitely go again.

Myself & guests all had a fabulous meal, the service was excellent, there was only one lady serving that evening, but she was very attentive & pleasant! Overall a very enjoyable eve had by all!

We had another fab night at Amalthea - great atmoshere, vibrant place, amazing food, excellent service, great prices. We had the meat mezze - great way to taste a variety of dishes. Superb desserts!

Great food! Many traditional Greek dishes, with a modern twist. Fresh ingredients, quality produce, with skilled and confident execution from the clearly very talented guys in the kitchen. Comfort food at its best! Service is faultless; friendly, efficient and helpful, especially if you're new to the wonders of Greek cuisine. Lovely, cozy atmosphere.

Lovely friendly staff. The starters were very good and my main course (the lamb kelftiko) was great, however, my husband opted for the pork shank which was extremely fatty and our friends decided to share a meze and were very disappointed with the portion size for 2 people - I think they could quite easily have managed one each! Overall we thought it was the food was ok but felt it was a bit overpriced - we may give it another shot but only for the Early Bird offer.

It was our first time dining at Amalthea, having passed by several times over the past year. We were really impressed with how warm and welcoming it was inside, with staff to match. The food was great and reasonably priced, and good portion sizes too. The perfect place for couples or families to dine. We will definately be back! :-)

Simply a perfect place for a Greek dining experience. Lovely authentic food, great atmosphere, beach hut like setting and friendly, attentive and likeable staff make this a 10/10 every time for me. Will always return here.
