Matching modern premises along Kennington Lane with classic Italian comfort food and drink, Amici is a regular haunt for many Kennington and VAuxhall locals. While you can always rely on an a la carte menu packed with traditional Italian dishes, chef’s daily specials and seasonal variations keep things interesting. Lunch specials sit well under a tenner, and the happy hour from 5pm until 7pm lets you enjoy Amici’s signature Champagne cocktails on a budget. House favourites include the special beef stew cacciatore, a slow-cooked entree of beef stew served with tagliatelle or mashed potatoes, the garlic, oil, and chilli spaghetti (gluten-free is available), and the smoked salmon bruschetta antipasto, ideal as accompaniment with a quick drink. This southeast London Italian restaurant also houses a supreme pizzeria, with the Di capra sunkissed tomato, goats’ cheese, rocket and Parmesan pie a surefire winner.
Good food and good service staff very friendly. Will definitely come again. Small but food was very good and good selection of both pasta and pizza.
