Excellent from start to finish. From the friendliness and professionalism of the staff to the deliciousness of the food. And the price! Much less than I would have expected. Can't say enough good things about this place and will definitely be back.

Fabulous food, amazing value and brilliant service. This is before we even begin to mention the insane amount of whisky.

Escorted to my seat however not offered a drink whilst i was waiting for my friend to arrive. The premises looked liked it needed cleaned.It had more of a canteen vibe rather than a Artisan restaurant. Menu very basic. The food was ok at best.Food presentation poor. Overcooked chicken, veg served not fully drained so water had gathered at the bottom of the dish. One positive that the young service staff were lovely.We had been there a couple of years ago and enjoyed it.So dissapointed with this visit. Would not reccomend.

Amazing staff as always, generous portions (maybe even too generous) just a lovely atmosphere and whisky knowledge is amazing. Always a good time.

Wir fühlten uns nicht Willkommen. Bestellungen wurden Ignoriert. Der Burger war hart wie ein Bremsklotz. Ich halte mich in punkto Whisky für nicht ganz unbedarft aber der Typ mit dem Zöpfchen toppt alles! Arrogant bis ins letzte - lies kein Zweifel daran, dass er der Zampano ist. Die sehen uns nie wieder.☹️

The service was excellent. The food was delicious. And the selection of scotch is unsurpassed!

What a friendly bunch of staff. We all ordered a starter and everyone enjoyed so much that we shared a taste of each others. Our mains were a little different the steaks ordered were poor. But to the credit of the staff and chef they were removed and replaced with perfectly cooked alternative steaks. So can’t fault the service. All who had a sweet really enjoyed what they had. We will be back.

Lovely lunch at Artisan. Some of us had the lunchtime special menu and some had the main menu. Both were excellent. Fresh produce, well made and presented. A real welcoming atmosphere with great service. Very reasonably priced.

Lovely food, attentive staff, a great treat to return …and the sticky toffee pudding is always a success!

Meal was overall lovely but service was appalling. Had to wait 15 mins before even being offered a drink then meal came and no interaction from staff. Is your meal okay , do you want another drink etc. ended up not having a dessert as I was waiting for 15 mins after the meal on someone actually approaching the table to clear the dinner plates. Don’t expect to be waited on but a bit of customer service and curtesy would have been nice. Suffice to say when we asked for the bill it took them ten seconds to bring it.

Fabulous food as always, all freshly prepared and great sized portions. Staff are lovely and friendly ,and if you like whisky it's a must, whisky bottles line the walls! I'm usually there for lunch so it was nice to go for dinner for a change. Its very reasonably priced. If you've never been you need to book in for some food.

We both had mushrooms to start, the mushrooms were not as fresh as they should have been, they were dark & wet. Chicken & smoked haddock mains were lovely but the portion of vegetables (for two) could have been a bit more generous, think 3 or 4 green beans each is not a portion. Sticky toffee pudding was more like a sponge & left an unpleasant taste in your mouth.

Excellent well cooked food and warm friendly service, coupled with one of the most amazing whisky lists anywhere. Despite all of that, very inexpensive. Worth a visit, even on this dreary Main Street

First visit to this unique venue. Host extremely knowledgeable on the many varieties of whisky. Food plentiful, of a very high quality and extremely good value. We will be back, and on a regular basis....!

Burger was dry, chips were stodgy and stale almost Food aside, service was lovely, very friendly staff and good priced meal Cleanliness of diner is something else to be desired, high chairs covered in dirt, dirty tissues stuck under tables to support legs and pint glasses lay on a table from before we came in to about half way through our visit, shocking considering the quality the restaurant used to be 6 years ago

Where do I start? Very attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and huge serves. Absolutely essential anybody that has an interest in whisky goes there. Highly recommend.
