Another lovely night out with friendly and efficient young staff. Had our usual meals and weren’t disappointed! Loving the Afrogato! Will be coming back soon.

Very Good food, nice atmosphere, service not so good. No parmesan cheese offered, only a small glass of water for the person who was driving.

First time we had been won’t be the last. Such a warm and genuine atmosphere felt welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. Food choice and taste were excellent and at very reasonable prices. Thanks to everyone for a great night

Very good meal and always busy which is a good sign. Only complaint was the time we had to wait for our table, despite reserving a long time in advance - they had fitted in a number of early evening bookings and we had to wait half an hour for our table, which was frustrating especially as there is nowhere to sit while waiting.

This is a cozy Italian restaurant I have been to a number of time before, and again it didn't disappoint. The menu is fairly typical, but the food is very well presented, and beautifully cooked. Very good value too - 6 people with drinks, 3 courses, £100. Thoroughly recommend.

As always, we had an excellent meal at Avanti! The food was beautifully prepared and presented and the service was fast and well organised, despite the fact that the restaurant seemed to be fully booked. No hurry to pay and go at the end, and a nice free glass of Amaretti with the bill. Super evening - thanks!

Excellent food, service, ambience, very pretty and cosy setting inside and out. Good size portions and classy quality. Attentive and very welcoming staff, good prices. All of my family love this restaurant and it is the best Italian in Newcastle. Take your friends and relatives there - you won’t be disappointed!

Food very nice, but waiter service a bit slow and disjointed. We had to ask for quite a few basic items. Nice atmosphere and traditional decor.

Great food, atmosphere & service. Visit at least once a month and always have a great night. Although usually very busy you don’t have to wait too long for the food which is consistently of a high standard.

The service was quick, polite and friendly. We were seated straight away and given sufficient time to look through the menu before the waiter came back to take our order. The food was fresh, tasty and offered good value for money.

A pleasant meal, had three courses and house wine, very good value at under sixty quid for two and that's without going for the Happy Hour deal. Excellent service. Quiet for a bank holiday weekend which suited us fine. Non pretentious little place Will be returming soon.

Good friendly restaurant. Happy hour deals on lunchtime menu which are value for money. They offer wholewheat pasta and gluten free options. The prosecco cocktails are lovely and the wine list decent too.

Lovely meal n great service. Lvly starter Black Pudding n blue cheese. Ordered the Volcano pizza with extra Jalapeño for main meal n they were pickled. My one n only moan. Nice Triple scoop of different flavour ice cream n washed down with a nice bottle of Chardonnay.

All of our guests had a wonderful time. The food was extremely tasty and flavoursome. The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was quick.

We use this restaurant regularly. Friendly staff, excellent food and value for money, lovely Italian atmosphere, children are most welcome. Would recommend it to everybody.

Good food, comfortable surroundings, sensible prices, attentive and very obliging staff. We had several dietary problems in our group of 4 but they went out of their way to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. We will be back.

Great meal with tasty well presented food. Menu offers a few more interesting choices than most pizza/pasta restaurants . Starters were rather slow otherwise I would have given a 6.

Excellent service. Great food. Marvellous early evening venue when taking grandchildren out to eat. They are made to feel very special. Enjoyed the evening immensely.

The service was great, as soon as we arrived we were seated and were able to order drinks. The food was authentic and very reasonable priced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

A little gem in Jesmond Newcastle. Good value for money, with excellent food and venue within easy reach of West Jesmond Metro Station. Attentive and friendly staff. Looking forward to revisiitng.
