Excellent food and would of scored Six if there had been a better selection of desserts for my wife's sweet tooth and we were asked if we wanted coffee once I'd eaten mine!

Good food and exquisite bread as you'd expect! Lunch is good value for money, drinks are on the steep side but it is the Northern Quarter!

Arrived early but given a table straight away. Service was a little slow but friendly but it was busy and given that the food was excellent, definitely recommend it.

I had booked a table for 12 and even though we brought another 6 the lovely staff very obligingly moved tables around to accommodate us. The food was beautiful especially the beef stew and the bread is divine. We had a fantastic evening and throroughly enjoyed the ambiance, food and service and all at a very reasonable price. Would heartily recommend this place for a group of friends. Thank you bakerie 😀

Fantastic, sublime stew. Have to recommend you order several bowls of stew and bread between you so you can try the range. I wanted better (and more) butter. The cheese board was indifferent and too cold. No decent puddings but I will forgive them.

We had to wait a while before we placed our orders. We weren't asked what choice of bread we wanted we had to ask. The beef stew came without dumplings . All the food was tasty and the bread was really good. The waitresses were great.

Nice ambiance and atmosphere for a Saturday lunchtime. Cocktails were good and the Vegan platters were really tasty. I'm being picky but they would have benefited from an additional waiter/waitress to reduce waiting time (hence 5 out of 6!).

This is a fabulous place, what a find. The service was excellent, unfortunately we didn't get the ladies name who serviced us but she was brilliant. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience at Bakery. I have been before and loved it but this time - it was terrible. We arrived on time at 12pm (when the restaurant opened) on Mother’s Day. There was only us and another party in the restaurant so we were very surprised when we all received our Sunday roast lunches and they were all cold! We sent them all back and they were returned within 5 minutes - same plates and meals, just reheated!!! They didn't even give us a new meal! We had 3 different waitresses throughout the meal which was also strange. The food tasted nice but never the same when it has been reheated, also not sure how that goes against health and safety! My mums veg was not reheated and returned cold, the waitress said she could heat these again but my mum asked for a full new meal which was given, but the waitress wasn't happy about this. It was also a shame that you could hear the waitress shout through to the kitchen "they say it is cold", like it was our fault! Overall a very disappointing meal.

Good selection of vegan wines and great food. Sadly they were out of gluten free bread, so eating earlier would be recommended for anyone needed GF bread options.

Lovely food, something for everyone. Vine leaves on the vegan board, salt beef and chorizo on the meat board, halloumi on the cheese board and fish goujons on the seafood board all went down well with our party. Staff all very helpful. Thanks.

Went on Mothers Day, had a lovely time. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Great selection of beers and wine and the menu offered a good selection of dishes, which also catered for vegetarians and vegans. Love the idea of the 'wine juke box'

We have been a few times for Sunday lunch and it has always been lovely. I love the fact your veg comes in little dishes with your Sunday roast. However when we went today we took some family with us the service was slow we had to keep asking for drinks and to order. The veg apart from the potatoes didn't come in the lovely little dishes, the cream broccoli had no cream with it and the pudding was a bit of a let down. Didn't have ice cream with it when it said it came with it. Not the best of experiences this time!

Went Sunday Roast & it was very tasty, the best one I've had in a restaurant for ages. You choose 3 items meat/veg from the menu to go with potatoes , Yorkshire & gravy (& can pay for extra too if hungry). The beef I had was delicious - pink, tasty & nicely cooked. The portion sizes good & service was spot on (it was quiet though). Also had a good pint of cask ale & nice glass of wine. A great experience overall.

Not much atmosphere for a Friday night. Server informed me when all food was brought that one dish was unavailable. All in all nice but nothing special anymore. Their glory days feel over sadly.

Lovely food and reasonably priced. But considering they weren't as busy as previous visits, the wait between finishing the meal and getting the bill was too long.

Dinner and wine on a Saturday night. Perfect cosy venue, lovely ambiance. The food is delicious, and especially the bread which is their signature and is incredible. So incredible we opted for more bread instead of dessert! The service was friendly and quick.

Service was good, drinks were good, my food order was average. 2 out of 3 staff we had contact with were very nice. 1 could have been friendlier.
