The meal was beautiful, however we were there with friends to celebrate myself and my wife’s anniversary and felt very rushed to eat our meal, we booked the meal for 7 but in their system Should 6-30 , so when we got there we were told after our meal could we have our coffees over in the lounge area so they could use our table . That wasn’t an issue. We felt the staff were over attentive and felt rushed to finish our meal quickly. We did finish in time and asked for the bill so they could have the table back which the gentleman was extremely grateful for. Within 2 mins T the lounge area the same gentlemen told us we had to move from the lounge as it was reserved , he didn’t actually remember that 2 mins earlier he was grateful we finished early and agreed for us to move to the lounge. We left without finishing our drinks and said to the gentleman that we wouldn’t be back . This put a dampener in the evening .

We were pressed for time to catch our last bus and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Excellent service ensured that we made it on time. Also delicious food reasonably priced.

I love going to Barleo. It's a great local restaurant in Linlithgow, the food is always excellent quality and the waiting staff are incredibly helpful and efficient. Our most recent visit was with a visiting friend from Bristol so steaks all round (perfectly cooked!) accompanied by a delicious Malbec and fantastic service. Recommend to anyone who stays in or is visiting Linlithgow.

Have to admit I love this place, menu is fantastic and the service is nice and quick, without being pushy. One of our meals was served Luke warm, but they quickly resolved the issue and a new hot replacement arrived. Would recommend.

The service was pretty slow. The menu was changed late the afternoon before our meal. I was made to feel uncomfortable about a service charge upon leaving the the restaurant. They don’t seem to cope well with large groups.

The noise levels were ok 1 very loud group on the table behind is the reason for not giving full marks, not the restaurants fault though just very loud people who can converse with each other all speaking at once...

The food was excellent and the staff really friendly and professional. We did though have to wait 20 mins for our booked table and no one offered to get us a drink while we waited in a side room. There were 2 large birthday parties and it was very noisy. We still had a ,lovely evening though as staff and food made up for the rest.
