Bates is brilliant. Good old fashioned home made food. Staff are superb friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I have been many times and have never managed to eat everything. Portions are generous. Lunch time menu excellent value. Go go but you will need to book
Another great meal at Bates restaurant. The meal was excellent and the menu of the day is fabulous value. I had the sea bass fillets which were cooked perfectly. Great food, great value and friendly service, what more can you ask for?
Excellent little family restaurant. Probably the best fillet steak I have ever eaten. Three of us had steak, each wanting it cooked differently, all three were perfectly cooked to our requests. They even had gluten free chocolate fudge cake for dessert, as well a wide selection of other gorgeous desserts. Good selection of vegetables, also nicely cooked. We will be returning hopefully.
