Not to be missed if you have any interest in Opera at all. Great food, great service, but it is the singing of the very talented staff, all Opera stars in training, which really sets the place on a very special plateau. Really great singing! Great food! Great service. My idea of Nirvana!

Un moment unique pour tous ceux qui aiment la musique en général et l'opéra en particulier. L'endroit est original, la cuisine est bonne mais le service est exceptionnel, avec quelques frissons garantis. A noter la pianiste qui accompagne toute votre soirée.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Sensational singing and delicious food. However, we thought the decor looked a little tired and could be made more exciting. Will return.

Overall, such a great idea and cool concept. But the value for money is no good at the moment. The starting price is £45 for only a two course meal. That made our meal last about 40 minutes in the entire 3 hours we were there. Of course we had the option of adding desert as an extra, which we did, otherwise we would have been sitting with nothing in front of us for 2 hours and 20 minutes. You can say the extra are optional, but the very nature of this particular restaurant is to make the dinner lasts (unless one only wants to hear a maximum of three songs in the whole evening). Add on top of that a tea/coffee (only two choices of tea, extremely poor considering this restaurant is located at the heart of London), a £5 charge for a simple glass of water, plus services charges, and we ended up with a bill of about is £70 each without even alcohol. On top of that the singers left a tipping jar on the piano. Normally, I would’ve been happy to encourage them, since the performances were amazing, but at a certain point it felt like I was constantly being asked for more and more money throughout the evening. My suggestion would be: I’d personally prefer a starting price maybe a little higher, but that includes a decent evening package: 3 course meal, tea/coffee/water included.

Absolutely fantastic! Superb family evening out, everybody wants to go back again as soon as possible. The menu might not be wide, but the quality is good. You don’t need to order extra side dishes as there is plenty of food served. However, it’s not the food you go for, it’s the entertainment, and we’re we entertained? Holy Moly were we ever! The opera singing started off good, and rapidly passed excellent on it’s unrelenting journey towards amazing that it burst through by the third set reaching BELLISIMO and beyond from there on in. Cost? We looked at it like this. For the same money we might have sat in a cramped theatre seat some distance from the stage and managed an expensive glass of wine after a long wait during the interval. Instead we enjoyed a delightful meal in a cosy atmosphere with plenty of space but right there in the centre with the action all around. Singers serenaded tables, interacted with diners, gave simply amazing performances. To sum up; If you like opera, you’ll love Bel Canto. Possibly that last sentence is all you need to know about this place.

From the initial welcome, to the service, the food, the piano playing and the opera singing we were so very impressed. It was like we had entered a space where we had our own personal opera singers tremendous voices and passion. A great evening and we would return.

Service was excellent and the singing was, on the whole, very good. It was disappointing that on a Friday night the Restaurant appeared only half full. Surroundings a little shabby, even with subdued lighting. Overall a nice quirky evening, but could have been much better.

Excellent special occasion meal with friendly helpful staff and very high quality singing. It did turn out to be a rather expensive evening, but for the special occasion this was okay. My one criticism would be the difficulty in finding the restaurant. The map provided on the web site was not really accurate enough.

I really like this place and the idea - it is so unique and nontrivial. I used to come here several times and not only in London, everytime it was charging and refreshing, but yesterday the action seemed to be quite different... Great singers, as usual, amazing repertoire! But somehow the atmosphere was not festive enough, even a bit boring... Maybe if it is my first time there, I would be impressed much more? Or maybe it is because all people are exhausted after a winter time:)) Anyway, I wish you a good luck! Recharge your batteries!💃

Great food and marvellous ambience/ where else do you get your wine poured by a mellifluous tenor and your food served by a honeyed mezzosoprano ....

Eating here is a lovely experience for opera lovers. The food is excellent and every 15 minutes you are treated to a popular aria sung by members of the waiting staff - trained opera singers perhaps between touring or seasons. It's fab to be so close to the singers as they perform, so you are paying a premium for that privilege, but I have never had a bad meal whenever I go.

The opera arias were awesome, they were really good. And the selection of the arias was made to entertain even the novice opera fans, they were mostly the most famous arias. I would definitely go there again for a special occasion. However, the price should have included a drink and a dessert. In a classy place that I listen to the arias and paying a lot of money, I would expect it a 3 course meal or at least a drink. I guess the restaurant is not including this just to make a couple of extra pounds. However, by doing so, it is reducing the class of the restaurant. My suggestion would be making it £50 and including drink+dessert.
