Lovely Sunday roast, good value for money... Brilliant staff.. Thanks

It was a busy Friday night and the only issue we jad was the noise level. The food was good quality and value for money. The service was good too thanks to Matt and other staff.

We had such a lovely afternoon at the Bibendum in Eastbourne, on Mother’s Day. The service was warm and friendly, and nothing was a problem. The food was delicious!!!! The roast lamb was amazing and the children’s meals were really good, so fresh and great portions sizes. Not sure who manages/owns the Bibendum, but whoever they are they’re doing a great job. We’ll definitely be back again.

Staff started off friendly but handled a spilt drink really badly. Didn’t clean it up, just threw a tea towel on the floor and didn’t offer a refill or new napkins. Food was really good but gravy was so salty it was unbearable. Nice atmosphere though and wasn’t too long of a wait.

The staff were really excellent, friendly and helpful. The ambience was also great but regretfully the food was poor - bones in the fish cakes, and dry salmon - the soup however was superb.

Our group of 4 had a variety from the menu and all meals were very well cooked and tasty.

Service fantastic, food lovely with the exception of one highly salty dish, A little on the priceY side compared to other like-minded restaurants in the area. Would visit again.

Literally the best Sunday roast in Eastbourne. Staff are lovely, good service and food is great. Portions are big so we didn’t have a starter but I shared a pudding with my dad! Definitely recommend!

Great food and attentive service. Good menu choices too. Classic gastro pub choices, Good atmosphere without it being too noisy. Can recommend their burgers. The beef ones appear to be homemade rather than bought and the cajun chicken is very good too.

Excellent location, warm, comfortable and welcoming. Not to mention excellent service and wonderful food. Well done and thank you. I would highly recommend and will definitely go again.

Nice food when it came. The service was inexplicably slow. My friend wasn’t taken with the wine. The staff were friendly and it was clean.

The football food was good the service very good a nice place to go and have a evening out would highly recommended I also have had good Sunday lunch there

Apart from whitebait being a bit soggy everything was first class. We drove from Lewes for the quiz nite, came last, all wort it. The k you Bibendum.

Staff where amazing food was outstanding and Jaz was a great server she was friendly and so helpful with everything. She recommended a great food choice for myself and a extremely good beer for my partner. The atmosphere was very good. Place was clean and modern.

I booked a table for 8 people to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating with bringing out the birthday cake I brought in for the occasion. The food was excellent and all of us enjoyed our meals. We ordered mains and desserts.

Excellent Sunday roast beef lunch, good service . ordered rare beef and really pleased as it was just right. The Roast chicken lunch was excellent to. Good value for money as well.

Polite, prompt service. We arrived early, but wasn't a problem. We were shown straight to our table and were not kept waiting. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Slightly soulless but it was World Cup playoff day. The food was delicious for 3 of us and the wine was reasonably priced. Staff were delightful though

Service and atmosphere was excellent. Sadly my request for my duck to be pink wasn’t achieved by the chef and it was so badly cooked I couldn’t actually cut through it

Lovely staff, food wasn't bad for the money as they were offering 2 meals for £16. Only down point was the kitchen closes at 9pm.

Food was tasty but cold needed a hot gravy boat service was average but very helpful would go back again but perhaps let the staff know our slight problem

We had a very enjoyable lunch. The staff and service was very good. We have therefore booked a table for 10 people in June which we are looking forward to.

Great staff and service - lovely atmosphere but beef roast dinner was a bit disappointing. Roast potatoes were pale and soggy and the meat was piled on top of all the other items (veg) on the plate.

Service excellent. Nice food, disappointed that the choice of roast was nothing like the website menu being beef, chicken, turkey or duck. No lamb or pork which seemed strange. Would not have booked if I'd known. Restaurant area does lack a bit of atmosphere and has more of a resemblance of a canteen which is a shame.

The service was quite slow and the Sunday roast beef option was a disappointment but the atmosphere was good and staff very friendly. We would go again

Lovely meal, nice atmosphere, great service, highly recommended. There was no problem when we called to say we would be half hour late - really impressed.

Nice place, great service, food menu bit dull and husband’s burger bit overdone but otherwise was ok. Recommend for run of the mill pub food.

Good selection of beer, bar service was fine - restaurant was completely empty, and when receiving out door we understood why. Lasagne was completely dried out, no doubt sat In a warm oven for 12 hours, virtually inedible, and my partners potato gratin was much the same. Was a shame because the restaurant had a nice cosy feel to it and the bar tenders were friendly and attentive.

greasy cod, microwaved veg, mussels boiled in cream served with stale bread. whole experience was style over substance. food was tasteless, bland and awful value for money.

It was a very poor experience. The service was slow. We waited over an hour for our food and when it arrived it was cold and totally inedible. We won’t be going back!

Good food, cheerful and friendly staff and we were put by the radiator, which, on a freezing night was a great bonus. Will go again.

Service was very good. God was tasty if not sophisticated. Generous meat portions but not enough veg and not enough variety. There also wasn’t a disabled toilet which I thought was poor for a venue if this size.

My fish pie was dry with no creamy sauce . Th service was xtremely slow despite very few people n the restaurant. However the staff were pleasant and polite.

The menu has been updated and is now more reasonably priced with many typically pub meals at £12. They still have a small sample of more unusual dishes which they were originally known for. The food was very good indeed, all homemade.

Had a family get together last Saturday . Was the first time a few of us had eaten there . Excellent food . Fantastic service .
