We were late . . . . Rang the restaurant, and they were great. Very accommodating, despite it being our fault. Food is very good, especially with a gluten free menu with plenty of choice. And that's why we go back to the Blackbird.

Food and service excellent as always but the pub was cold and the table we were sat at (13 in the bar) was very drafty.

Quantity over quality. Poor service. Staff were rushed and inattentive. We’ve cancelled our booking for Christmas after this last meal and booked somewhere else.

Food generally not as good as previous. Vegetables undercooked. Cauliflower cheese hard, with very little cheese. ( ordered two - only got one) Turkey not tender.

Four of us went for tea. Ordered 1 large fish n chips 1 x medium, they arrived both exactly the same no large. 1 x burger with triple cooked chips, burger was rock hard couldn't cut it chips were NOT triple cooked just chips hard and rubbery. 1 x steak n ale pie with veg and triple cooked chips, pie was nice, couldn't eat the veg as it was raw and not seasoned and left all the chips as they were terrible. We saw other meals being sent back but we decided not to complain. Service was good but food was diabolical so we won't be back.!!!

We alternate between Blackbird and Twin Farms both pubs have a great menu, and great atmospheres but my ultimate favourite dish is the Satay Beef Udon Noodles at the Blackbird. We all had a great time and fantastic food.

I had the pork belly and there was the smallest amount of pork on it, it was all fat not worth the money

As ever, this is a great and friendly pub with bistro style food. Good and friendly service. It was a quiet night so we were fed very quickly.

Always really satisfied with our visits to the blackbird. My mum has a couple of food intolerances and they have made a real effort to put some variety in their menus for those that can find it tricky eating out - so appreciated. The food is always good quality and the service excellent too.

I did all my early years drinking in the Blackbird moved away for 42 years now I’m back and so enjoyed a wonderful meal and such good service I was very nostalgic and looking forward to going back again! One of my friends is a celiac and dairy free so she really enjoyed having a choice - thank you Tricia

This is a lovely pub. There was a nice atmosphere. The menu was interesting and expansive. The food was excellent and generous. Reasonably priced too.

Unusually very busy for a Monday lunchtime. With a large party in the noise levels were high and the atmosphere was manic.
