Booked a table for 6 for Sunday lunch. We were seated promptly and orders taken. Food arrived in good time and was delicious as always! Excellent service from all the staff.

Went for Sunday lunch. Menu was more limited than on other days, but there was enough choice for us. The sea bream was outstanding - better than we've had anywhere. And it was a large fillet too. Asian salad was also outstanding - extremely tasty. Sunday roast and gnocchi were very good. Sticky toffee pudding was one of the best we've had. Only slight disappointment was the Eton mess - no strawberries, just strawberry ice cream instead. But it was an excellent meal all round. This is very high standard of cooking and one of the best eateries in the area. And we weren't rushed at all, and there is a great vibe for people watching in an atmospheric space.

We had a lovely meal with friends. The food was delicious and our servers were attentive and helpful. Highly recommended.

Mediocre food. Fish batter on my meal was not very good. My granddaughter ate all of her meal but I tasted the sausages and thought that they were tough skinned and not particularly nice. The chocolate ice cream that the children had was filled with dark chocolate chips and not really suitable for small children.

Please please please switch off the news on the TVs -we wanted a pleasant lunch not to be bombarded by the war in the Middle East TVs have no place in a pub apart from big sports events .It would put me off coming !!!

a slight hiccup with taking our order meant three meals delivered rather than four. manager came and explained what the mistake was, apologized and sorted things as quickly as possible with the kitchen. could have been a bad experience but for the timely intervention by the mamager

The Blackbird Inn is a lovely restaurant, it is in an old historic building and the features it has such as a stone staircase, arched coves, and stone flooring are beautifully maintained. Just mind your head if you are taller than around 5ft 7inches The service is excellent in the restaurant with professional, knowledgeable staff. The food is delicious, they have a selection of vegetarian meals and can advise on all allergies. There is an extensive selection of drinks both alcoholic and no alcoholic to choose from. It has an eating area outside and a function room for hire. It is a very popular restaurant & pub therefore I always book a table. I highly recommend The Blackbird Inn Ponteland 😊

There were 6 people dinned - all 6 enjoyed their meal.The place was very busy and we dined in a tunnel that was quite noisy.The waiting time was acceptable.The prices were on the high side however we would dine there again.
