Place is cosy and has a nice atmosphere. Good food that's a little bit different. If I were to return it would be with a group of friends!

Lovely, cosy atmosphere and a great variety of sharing boards and fondue including GRAVY FONDUE!! (only on sundays). We were really excited to try Brock Cafe out and the food definitely delivered, however the service speed and the waiter's rude attitude let the whole experience down a bit. Will still be back to try gravy fondue

The roast dinner fondue was very tasty, the beef was particularly nice and we appreciated having generous portions of vegetables. Managed room for dessert, Cafe Liegeois was great. We were sat in a booth for a group of 4 which was spacious, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

A unique food experience in a great atmosphere. Always very busy, especially on a Sunday, best to book in advance. Well worth the wait if you can’t get in when you want.

I think its a good concept but the execution could be a lot better. The gravy was tasty but it was very thin, I ended up pouring it over rather than dipping the bits in as it didn't give a good coverage at all with dipping alone. I didn't really like my table downstairs as we were cramped in next to other couples and the tables were slightly too large so i felt a bit far away from my partner to have quiet discussions but to close to other couples to have a loud conversation, to be honest it was pretty awkward. Upstairs looked more cosy though. The service wasn't great but it wasn't awful either. All round I would say it was an entirely average experience.

We came slightly early and were seated right away. Although the first two beers we chose they had run out of, the others we tried were good. The Sunday roast Fondue was amazing, big, succulent and juicy piece of Beef to go with the sweet sweet gravy 🤤

Friendly staff and stunning food, honestly couldn't have asked for more. We had the Xmas fondue, starting off with a large platter of Camembert, fruit, bread and chutneys. I'm not the biggest fan of Camembert but this one was stunning. The main dish was all the Xmas dinner elements with a stunning fondue of a very rich gravy. Again, no complaints here. The desserts consisted of mini Xmas puddings, mince pies, marshmallows, fruits and the most fantastic Belgian chocolate fondue. I can have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place, other than I wish I'd taken more people with us to enjoy it

We’d seen the Sunday Roast Fondue online after it went viral and booked weeks in advance to go and after weeks of looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about , my friend and I came away severely disappointed. The portion sizes were way too tiny for two people and the majority of the vegetables were undercooked , verging on raw (would be suitable for vegans). All we got was three potatoes and picking up green beans with a fondue stick is impossible. The piece of beef was barely enough for one person , let alone two. It was also dry. The gravy was so bland , shop bought gravy I’ve had tasted better and the waffle tasted like some cheap supermarket own brand. Everything just lacked flavour. Also , the seating arrangements are far too intimate and close for my liking , you feel you can’t have a conversation cos you have complete strangers next to you hearing every word. The only good thing was the service , all the staff were friendly and nice. I just think the Sunday Roast Fondue is just trying to be too clever and trendy for its own good and doesn’t deliver on any level other than looking instagram pretty.

The cheese fondue was lovely. Decided to get the Churros to share between two for dessert, if anything the portion size was slightly too big (10 Churros in total), but could not fault the food :)

Can't fault the food as it was amazing and the atmosphere is really cosy. Was a shame about how some of the servers treated us however. They made a mistake on our order then argued it with us to say it was our fault (we ordered a veggie option and they brought out the meat option). After arguing their point they made a rude comment to say the mains we had ordered were not veggie.. we knew this as when my friend (non meat eater) tried to order the fish board we were told it wasn't available the waiter then made a point to say she wasn't a veggie but a pescitarian (pedantic or what)I felt it was really unprofessional and rude as we were polite about the situation and they couldn't seem to accept they had made a mistake. The waitress even returned making faces saying she always double checks insinuating we were lying . It created a really awkward vibe over something really miniscual. They did change who served us (off their own back) he was really lovely and you could see he was working hard. I would definitely return as the food was great. I would just recommend some of the staff work on their manners!

Staff extremely friendly beer and food was great, overall the experience was a relaxed change from any other cafe I’ve been to, we had the cheese fondue the only quirk is it’s doesn’t state that the Sunday dinner fondue is only on a Sunday in the menu

We have just visited your restaurant as we are up from Glasgow for the weekend for my birthday. I saw this place on Facebook and planned my whole weekend around it and I am very sad to say how disappointed I am. When we arrived we were strayed at a table that was dirty, I’m assuming with left over spilled gravy and the table was so wobbly every time we moved our wine almost spilled. I’m not going to say the food didn’t taste good, it did but it was freezing. Firstly we got our food ( lSunday roast fondue) before anyone came over to take our drink order. I’ve never been to anywhere where I didn’t get my drink before my meal. Not acceptable. The gravy we got was warm but the lighter under the fondu wasn’t lit so it got cold very quickly. Our food was cold and the waffles were stale. The only thing that saved it was the gravy and when it got cold it was not as appetising. The beef tasted great just please heat it up in future!
