Boteco Do Brasil - Glasgow

Probably one of the worst dining experiences I have had in the past 20 years. Limited menu with several pasta options which I was not aware of as a Brazilian food staple. The server was asked about the menu and recommended the "cap" steak strips on a sizzler plate with cassava - It's a good job I have my own teeth as the meat that arrived was tough / fatty and not pleasant. My wife opted for the tapas and 3 prawns for £5 seems pretty poor - the deep fried chicken thighs smelled odd and tasted wrong and so were left - I think possibly left out in preparation rather than kept refrigerated but that is only conjecture on my part. I have never previously left a restaurant and gone to get a pizza but my wife was so hungry after the poor offering that that is exactly what we did. The cocktails were not great served in plastic glasses and very poor value for money. The place was very busy and the other diners appeared to be having a great time so I did not think any complaint I made would be taken note of as apparently 95% of people were happy. On line reviews are also good - I would not be going back so there it is - for us not good !

Service a bit too quick but meal was first class no entertainment was on except sport on tvs Toilets could do with a lick of paint

Great food, the staff were very attentive and explained about the meals so I was confident in trying Brazilian food instead of playing safe. My wife enjoyed the cocktails, the range of different lagers was nice. Live music was great. We will go again

Nice food, nice wait staff, tasty drinks. Not too expensive. Generally a lovely experience. A dance area would be nice with some Brazilian music! Cheers.

Menu given to me clearly looked as someone had sneezed on it . I was given another one promptly . Food was ok if a little bland . Atmosphere in restaurant was good and all staff where very pleasant.

The food was absolutely beautiful & staff are great. Atmosphere is lovely as well & really good value for money. Will definitely be back again.

Great food great atmosphere great price great music. Felt like we were in Brazil for the evening. Staff very friendly and helpful especially with info on the menu

Took our 7 year old daughter here for lunch. Fantastic value, great food and our daughter was made very welcome. Will definitely return and would recommend

Perfect pre gig venue when attending anything at the Barrowlands or Celtic Park. Relaxed atmosphere and great value for money. Food was great, a s3lection of tapas or traditional Brazilian main courses and staff very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Great wee hidden gem of a place right in the heart of the Merchant City. Food is excellent, very quick service and awesome taste. Will be back soon x

This was our second visit here, definitely won't be our last. We were both left open-mouthed when the food arrived at our table, don't think I've ever seen so much food for 2 people. The food itself was fantastic, fresh seafood cooked just right, pasta & rice were also cooked perfectly. Although we were both struggling towards the end, we were both determined to finish as the food was just too nice to leave. Also need to mention just how good the restaurant and bar staff were. The young girl waiting on our table had just started, but that didn't show as she was very professional, courteous and always had a smile when she came to our table. All the staff were just as nice and pleasant, which made our night at Boteco Do Brasil fantastic.

Decent enough pub grub. It's different with a Brazilian touch. Staff are very good and there is entertainment. Good selection of drinks. Great atmospheric pub.

Visited using Groupon voucher for meat feast and cocktails. Meat feast was a good sized portion and really tasty. Good range of cocktails too! Overall atmosphere was really chilled, staff lovely and friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Would def recommend visiting here.

Cool atmosphere, mediocre food, hoped to see dancers but didn't, band were good though, staff were very friendly, bill was reasonable, horrible vodka though!! Average

I reserved a table and when I got there the table was already set up and there was even someone there to direct people to the table. The cocktails were delicious and the music was fantastic

Amazing food, the tapas is delicious especially the stuffed peppers and the cassava! The staff were lovely and helpfully explained all of the dishes that us vegetarians could eat! The lasagne my sister had looked delicious as well and mum says the veggie burger is the best one she has had. I would also recommend the caipirinha cocktail!

Great atmosphere, loved the music the staff were lovely and very attentive without being intrusive. Steak platter for two was fantastic. Only negative £7.50 cocktail served in a plastic glass! Poor selection of south American beers. Should look at what tri beca do with their selection of beers. If I go brasilian I don't want Heineken. That said we had a great night and will be back

Good atmosphere in the pub , perfect for a night if you only want to drink but the food was the worst I've ever had ! There was 6 of us and we had to send it all back it was disgusting , the manager gave us 50% of the bill and she was really lovely we felt bad but honestly it was that bad.

Staff were lovely. Food was very tasty. Only thing was it didn't fill me up. So maybe should have had a starter. Cocktails were great too

Great atmosphere and friendly and obliging staff. Authentic Brazilian caipirinhas and food especially the feijoada. And when the tables are cleared away there is a good area for dancing.

Great food, great service, lovely relaxed atmosphere and half price cocktails what more do you need to have an amazing bank holiday weekend!! Will be back again soon! :))

Food was excellent, atmosphere enticing, with a zing! Staff very friendly and efficient although they were unsure about the voucher we presented. Will definitely return. Not sure about the need to book a table concept.

Brilliant place. Meat platter was fresh and filling. The salad had a lovely dressing. We tried half of the cocktail menu & enjoyed them all. Worth another visit

I was never there. we were in Edinburgh and it was brilliant.my husband and myself went to Boteco do Brazil and the service was excellent.i think the young man who attended to us was French ,he was very polite and made perfect mojitos. the food was lovely .

Lovely meal staff could not do enough for you rustic surroundings will definitely be back sooner rather than later would definitely recommend it to anyone

Arranged a treasure hunt for my girlfriend and Boteco was part of the hunt - sent her and her best friend for cocktails here as one of the stops and staff & drinks were absolutely phenomenal! Staff were very supportive, welcoming and helpful with everything - including arrange and treated them like royalty. Service was so good that even if the drinks were mediocre (they most certainly were above and beyond) then we would be back just because of the welcoming amazing atmosphere and amazing staff!!

Spent a very enjoyable Saturday afternoon/evening with my wife, 22 year old daughter and my cousin and her partner. We had 2 seafood sharing platters and numerous alcoholic drinks. The bill wasn't as bad as I had expected.

It is a lovely place and the service is good. Friendly staff. Food and cocktails were good as well. However the tapas were a bit pricy. Ladies toilette dirty.

A very pleasant evening - such attentive staff. They were brilliant! Food came with generous portions, fish cooked to perfection! Stick to salad rather than chips to accompany dishes or you will be too full!

Outstanding service and wide selection of delicious choices of food to suit every different palate! We were a table of 5, 3 of us are in power wheelchairs and one uses a walker - and access was NO PROBLEM - next visit will be for the Monday nighty disco🤣

Most of us really enjoyed our meal, and the cocktails were also good. Service was friendly however one main and one side were forgotten about so one of our party didn't receive hers until about 15min after the rest of us - she got a free drink but I didn't feel this really made up for it. The place was packed and we felt a bit crammed in when people tried to get by, but can see why it is popular, atmosphere and music were really good. Would definitely return.

Nice place,friendly atmosphere Food 4/6 we had prawns to start these were nice, Then a sharing platter for 2 at £38 but found it average lots of fat on most of the meat And steak was very chewy Sauces were nice
