Bourbon & Black Central

I ordered a rack of ribs and my friend ordered pulled pork. Both were excellent, akin to comfort food. Prices were reasonable. Selection of bourbons is broad and the venue is contemporary. We had a good time watching live jazz music.

The food was excellent, great prices, even at full price its still great and the staff were all really. LOVED IT, can't wait to go again

Great service and the food was honestly amazing. There was a lot of choice on the menu, we had pigs in blankets and ribs to start, mouth watering! Ribs were huge and sticky.... I had the sea food boil..... jesus it was huge and tested great. I would recommend this to everyone as it's lovely. Would recommend this restaurant and bar to all will definitely be going back

Starters exceeded expectations and the main (Fillet) was absolutely fantastic, unfortunately the pudding wasn't as good as it had been in the past but still a great meal out, I'll be going again soon.

The food, service and environment were all lovely! I'd most definitely both visit Bourbon and Black (Mount Street Manchester) again and recommend it to friends!

Nice place, wonderful cocktails, good wine list and helpful staff - overall good service. Very quiet early in the week but would go back again for sure.

It was freezing downstairs so we asked if we could go upstairs which we know they wouldn't usually allow but they were fine and put us on a booth upstairs. Nice chilled but good service, food was sensational!!!! As always. Still one of my favourite bars and restaurants!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely spot on. The taste and texture of my steak and other food were exquisite. The cornflake tart is a winner too. Highly recommended 👍

Really great place was quiet while we were there and I imagine it's even better when it's busier. The staff were great attentive and friendly it was very relaxed and the food was great at lunch.

Cool place, great food and friendly staff. Enjoyed a free drink upstairs after the meal watching a live band. Great night would definitely return again.

Amazing service, building, food and menu! I struggling deciding on one dish and ended up having 3 courses, a bottle of wine and what turned into just some food out....I sat down at 6:30pm and didn't leave until it closed I was having such a lovely night!! Staff were faultless and atmosphere was perfect! My new favourite bar in Manchester!!! Thank you Bourbon and Black!

Great food, great service, great cocktails. Good deal - happy hour before 7 too! We even played a bit of ping pong. Would definitely go again.

Food was very tasty however portion size of sides a little disappointing considering the cost. Felt a little awkward on entering Bourbon and Black; two members of staff and a handful of customers. Took over five minutes to be awknoledged, then waited a little longer to be seated. Pleasant enough experience however won't rush to return.

The food was lovely and the staff were great but the music was too loud in the restaurant and both the restaurant and toilets were really cold.

Brilliant! Food was fantastic and not overpriced. Wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone. The pulled pork in the Mac and cheese cake was to die for

Lovely place to eat, will definitely go back, soon. It is not suit am for people who are not capable of climbing stairs, however, the management and staff bent over backwards to make sure that we were catered for. It was a lovely night.

Great night and atmosphere. Steak was amazing and cooked to perfection. It's a shame the drinks took a little while to come out but the service after was spot on.

Nice place and bar. There was a blues band coming on that we couldn't stay to see but sounded good. However food wasn't great. A little tasteless. Service was very attentive though, bordering on annoying but enthusiastic non the less!

Having been lucky enough to travel to Texas on a few occasions, this is genuinely the first restaurant I've visited in the UK that comes close to that authentic Tex-Mex / BBQ flavour. Very enjoyable and reasonably priced for a city centre restaurant.

Amazing food and exemplary service. Couldn't ask for more to be honest. Greeted and sat straight away and asked for drinks. Overall wow factor really!

Portions were very big, not piping hot and the service wasn't great. Music was too loud downstairs and the restaurant was pretty quiet with guests. The service was a bit slow, staff stood around chatting.

Very friendly and efficient service, great starter of half portion ribs at £7.50 and very good chili brisket main (even better with the 50% Off Jan Deal!), generous portions, pleasant space => recommended!

We've been to the Manchester city centre based Bourbon and Black three times in the past 10 days...I think that alone is a clear indication of what we think of it :) The food is unreal and the service is super friendly and helpful!

The restaurant/bar looks great and the service when we arrived was warm and friendly. However we didn't manage to eat here so I can't rate the food. The full menu as advertised on the website wasn't available so they only had a limited lunch menu. We didn't fancy eating off this one, although it was a bargain at £10 for a main and a glass of wine or beer. The manager did offer to ask the kitchen if there was something special we wanted but as we were going to get a Tomahawk steak to share I thought this unlikely and went elsewhere. I will definitely go back when one evening to sample the food though as the venue looked great and the staff where great too.

Good service, good food and live music and we were given a free drink voucher! Only down side was that the restaurant was very empty which killed the atmosphere.

The location is great. The service was excellent. My blue fillet was cooked to absolute perfection. A lovely afternoon in town. I hope (like all the best places) this restaurant remains a bit of a hidden gem!

I booked Bourbon & Black for my husband's birthday night out and it really delivered on every aspect. The service was amazing and all the staff we helpful and enthusiastic. The food was delicious. Great menu as it was condensed but still plenty to choose from. we had wings and jalapeño poppers to start which really got our taste buds going. Then we had the rack of ribs which we couldn't finish as so much which is what you want. Side order you must try are the B&B beans, fries and chargrilled broccoli. The prices are cheap for the quality and quantity of food. We were surprised they were not charging more as the food so that good. We then got offered a free drink voucher to use once the band started later as they have music on. All in all a great night. Only niggle was it was cold down stairs when we were eating and I could see a few had left their coats on. But other that that 10/10.

Incredible food and well priced. Lovely staff but some minor mix ups with our order. All in all we will definitely eat here again, highly recommended. BBQ shrimps were the best I've ever tasted!

Great food , great service !! Good price even with 50% off !! I'd pay full price !!! Only let down was the toilets !!! But hey .... Always someone that's scruffy !!! Well worth another visit !!!
