Brasserie Vacherin - Sutton

Service good as usual but disappointed with food this visit. Probably my fault as my choice was lemon sole. Too much butter. Also Sardine starter was tasteless.

The food was very good really loved the seabass, service was very attentive & they were very happy to help. Will definitely return very soon.

the staff were very friendly and was never rushed for food. the food was superb, and the cocktails were out of this world. will definitely go back again

Friendly service but a bit erratic, waited ages for bread & olives and cocktails and only minutes after receiving these main courses were served but with a delay on receiving the veg so main course was going cold. Meal was expensive to.

It was nice the only suggestion I would make to the brasserie is to state the steak is loaded with peppercorns on it as my sister dislikes them and therefore did not get to eat her steak.

Excellent food and service: this restaurant has really come into its own. We couldn’t have felt more welcome and we look forward to our next visit.

Had the Prix Fixe menu, food was delicious and there was a good choice. Good value for money and staff were very attentive. Would recommend this restaurant.

Mondays are extremely quiet as expected, but more time for a better service and no rushing. Staff efficient, and the chef does an excellent bowl of mussels. Many thanks.

Food and service both good on this visit. Suggestion for the restaurant - the lighting in the main room is very uniform and bland and completely lacks intimacy. Doesn't really fit the style of restaurant.

There was only one vegetarian option on the brunch menu per course ( indicated by a V next to them). My daughter ordered the starter 'Red wine poached pair, Roquefort and endive salad'. However, she was concerned that the Roquefort, being a blue cheese was not vegetarian cheese. When she queried this, the waiter replied saying all cheese is vegetarian! To his credit, he went and checked and confirmed that it was not vegetarian, She sent this back and there was no other vegetarian starters. This is appalling! Passing non-vegetarian food as vegetarian. Since I paid by voucher, I could not even ask for a refund. I enjoyed my fish and frittes but it is not recommended for vegetarians. By the way, we were the only ones in the restaurant. I do not think I would return.

Excellent food, great service. Very attentive waiter, and food was extremely well cooked. Price was good too, and we will be back very soon . Loved it

Unfortunately our party of five were the only ones in the restaurant for most of the time we were there, which made for a strange atmosphere and patchy service. Only to be expected, I suppose, at lunchtime in January. But the food, when it came, was excellent. A better bet in the evenings, I would suggest.

Was my favourite restaurant, but their excessive portion control and inability to provide me with points on my loyalty card left a bad taste. The staff were initially attentive, but had issues when I requested something that was not in their usual experience.

Excellent food and attentive service at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The wine is excellent too.

I have never been disappointed here. Today good food and friendly helpful service as usual with the addition of extra help with a wheelchair user. Gets full marks.

Lovely NYE lunch with great food and service top notch - a really pleasant experience in the heart of Sutton. Beats having to go into the City / West End

Excellent service as always and great food - The fillet steak was cooked as ordered and was extremely good, the staff are polite and cannot do enough for you. A decent selection of wine also.

Great service, excellent menu choice and specials board. Attentive staff. Good vibe in the restaurant - not too loud although would imagine at busy time it would be difficult to hear clearly.

After a stressful time of a getting a parking space, we were warmly greeted by the staff. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the only disappointment was the mince pie dessert as they weren’t homemade.

Lovely food and good attentive service for a family lunch for 9 yesterday. Delicious food. The anchovy butter is a wonderful flavour. Would definitely recommend.

The food was good, but the restaurant has no great atmosphere, and whilst the service was well meaning, it lacked skill and experience. The facilities also let it down a little. Whether you would consider it good value, depends on your priorities. I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility of another visit.

Nice place, Good service and great food, the only one minus, misunderstanding with desert. We had to wait 40 minutes for our last dishes. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve never had a bad experience at this restaurant and have eaten there on many occasions, the food is always beautifully cooked, a gem in Sutton.

The menu was excellent as always plus some interesting specials on the board. Very tasty food enjoyed by all of us in our party of seven.

Service was excellent and the food was very good, although fish grill from a la carte was very " nouvelle cuisine", size. We had a slight problem with one main course as the Choucroute was missing however this was rectified when paying the bill. We will definitely be back although this is not our first visit. Axton

Fabulous restaurant. We have been a few times and are never disappointed. Staff are lovely and you are not rushed. Fab relaxing meal. Would highly recommend.

Sound but slightly dated French bistro with good cooking and service but nothing distinctive. Confit duck was really just roast duck - tasty but not authentic. Wine choice by glass and carafe was excellent. Not busy.

Friendly staff but the service and meal could have been better. Bread came at the end of the first course, sides were forgotten, incorrect cutlery given and one main was over-cooked and left too long so ended up being somewhat cold. May have been an exception but I wouldn’t chance it again.

Great service, beautiful steak and fantastic value. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere for a business lunch. We took the special steak deal with a glass of wine thrown in.

The food was excellent and the staff, especially the head waiter, were also very good. However we were served by four different people during our meal, which meant that there was no continuity. When I requested a small bowl of tomato sauce to accompany my frites, it did not come because I was served by a different person from the one to whom I had given the order. When it did come, the waitress seemed to want to put a tiny spoonful on my plate and take the bowl away: I had to make clear that I wished to keep the bowl. There was also an extremely noisy party on another table and management made no attempt to quieten them. I would have spoken to them myself but didn't want to embarrass our guest, but management should have stepped in. Overall there seemed to be a fall in standards in terms of service ethos and clientele.
