Overall good food. We waited slightly too long for our dessert. Very pleased with the cosy and homely environment. Staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed very much my steak.

Amazing food, great staff. Best restaurant in the area in my humble opinion. I took my girlfriend there for a nice Friday evening meal and we were both delighted with everything. In fact it's hard to put a fault on it. Most certainly recommended.

Nice welcome and food very acceptable,... Surprised that the restaurant wasn't very full only about 8 tables taken the Tuesday before Christmas....however we think that could be because the restaurant was very cold. I asked the Maitre D to turn off the air conditioning, he said it was set at 40 degrees but that when people when outside for a smoke they left the back door open. Eventually he turned the aircon off and it was warmer but the machine kept coming on again and when we asked for our bill we also asked for our coats. The set menu was good value for money and our wine choice was perfect...and they did acknowledge our allergies and checked them before we ordered. However not a comfortable evening and no atmosphere in the restaurant.

My husband and I went there last night and it was a lovely evening. One of us ordered the fixed menu and the other off the a la carte, both meals were of good quality and thoroughly enjoyed. The house red was also enjoyable! Finally, the staff were helpful and attentive even though it was a busy Friday night. I would definitely recommend trying this place.

Very nice food and great service. Table right by kitchen and stairs to cellar was disappointing but OK. Nothing more to say really did what you'd expect with ease

Very good food & service on the night. good value with the half price happy hour drinks & the February discount voucher. Also the Thursday night free corkage is an excellent bonus, so we were able to take a good Bordeaux to enjoy with the meal.

Very good service and stands out among other local venues for this. Slightly disappointing food menu - not enough variety and a bit tired. Excellent wine menu by contrast. Good ambience. Recommended.

The place is clean, staff are very polite and welcoming. Went for the lunch with work colleagues. We had the Christmas meal. All three courses were very good. I had salmon for starter, sea bream for main, my colleagues had turkey & steak. Presentation was of a good standard. Desert was a pear tart. This is the best desert l have ever had. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

We have been to the Vacherin several times and been very satisfied. We were disappointed on our visit recently on the change of menu which seems more limited in choice of dishes,

The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I had a lovely starter of pasta with mushrooms. For my main I had burger and fries. The fries were lovely. My friend had fish for the main meal which we thought was overpriced for what it was. We had a bottle of sparkling Mateus rose. I would not have ordered a bottle of Mateus ordinarily but the waitress recommended this and it was a good flavoured sparkling rose wine. Overall, I enjoyed most of my meal and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant.

Very good food, good environment and friendly staff. Offcourse not much choice for vegetarians and non-alcholic beverages. Overall it is good restaurant but a bit pricey.

The food was delicious. The only reason I did not reward top points was the delay in providing iced water. Every other aspect of our experience was positive.

Wonderful cocktails, lovely accomadating staff, delicious food! What more could you ask for! We opted for the two course Prix Fixe menu, the cheapest option by a long way but weren't treated like cheapskates at all. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

They serve a good, straightforward French meal! The food was good quality including a steak that was tender and just medium-rare as it should be. Good service.

Food is always excellent, frequent diners. But they ran out of the popular platter items. Also, no lobster. Also, service was terrible, on this visit. Management were great but waitress made so many mistakes and we had to ask more than twice for certain things like drink top ups, additional bread etc. I will return

Charming staff, lovely ambiance. We chose the 3 course set menu for our lunch. Good menu, couldn't fault the food or the bottle of Chilean merlot. Very good value. We will return.

It was quiet and comfortable which was good as my dinner companion and I wanted to chat. The food was fine and the service attentive though you were not very busy. The one slight criticism is that we were not presented with the prix fixe menu, just with the main one. We should have asked.

Great food, friendly and mostly good service (although the initial drinks took too long to arrive as they ended up being brought with the food rather than as aperitif). In general, a very pleasant evening.

I ordered the roast duck with mashed potatoes and puy lentils, and my wife ordered the sea bass - both dishes were excellently cooked and we almost licked our plates clean. Service was good, though we needed to ask for tap water twice.

Nice service, terrible food. Uncooked onions in the onion soup! Tough green beans, dry burger, awful mussels ... The chips were OK, and the big smiles of the staff were charming.

I have walked past Brasserie Vacherin in Sutton for years without being quite aware of it. Only when I searched for French restaurants in Sutton did I realise it was there, but I'm so glad that I did. Service and ambience were excellent. Food was very good. Prices slightly high but acceptable. I'll be back.
