You’ll be hard pressed to find a more genuine, heart-warming Indian feed in Oldham than at Cafe Lahore, found right on Union Street. A long-time local favourite, Cafe Lahore dishes up honest, additive-free, tasty food inspired by Punjabi, Kashmiri and wider South Asian cooking traditions. This is one of those restaurants where you can tell they care about what they serve, starting from helpful, friendly and well-informed waiting staff and finishing after a few mounds of seriously satisfying curries, stews, meats, vegetables, breads and dessert. For spice lovers there is plenty to tickle the tongue (just be warned that when they say hot, they mean hot), there are some Kashmiri small dishes and street food staples to broaded your Indian palate, and if you cannot decide what you feel like then luckily Cafe Lahore put on one of the most comprehensive and best value Indian buffets in Manchester!
Delicious food cooked in open kitchen - freshly prepared to order. Clever chef produces dishes that are made complex by different spices despite limited ingredients. Our meal for four would have served six and, with tip, came to just £80, including (non alcoholic) drinks.
Lovely food would eat there again. Friendly staff and good service. If you want cracking curry and great value for money this is the place to go. 😁
Bit rundown building. Kitchen area looks nice. Manager or team leader was really nice! Food was lovely. Salad bar was insanely tasty! No alcohol sold though :(
